MXU Tailgate Letter Inserts for Chevrolet Colorado 2021–2022 — Matte Black 3D ABS, Pre‑Applied Adhesive

Give your Colorado pickup a subtle yet durable refresh without drilling or paintwork. These letter inserts are precision-cut for 2021–2022 Chevrolet Colorado recessed tailgate grooves and use pre-applied automotive adhesive for a clean installation. Constructed from impact-resistant ABS with a matte-black finish, they are designed to resist sun, rain and road debris while preserving a factory-aligned look.

How do these inserts attach to my Colorado tailgate?

Installation is adhesive-based, so no drilling, screws or special tools are required. The inserts come with automotive-grade tape already applied to the back; you only need a clean, dry surface and steady alignment to press them into the existing recessed grooves.

• Pre-applied automotive adhesive for strong exterior hold
• Fits original recessed grooves—no trimming needed
• Installation steps: clean, peel, align, press firmly
• Removable with heat and adhesive remover if needed

Will the matte-black ABS resist weather and daily wear?

The letters are molded from durable ABS and finished with a matte coating formulated to handle exterior conditions. While not indestructible, they resist fading, chipping and light scratches better than many painted alternatives when cared for normally.

• UV-resistant finish to reduce sun fading
• Water and dust resistant for everyday driving
• Impact-tolerant ABS reduces risk of cracking
• Easy to clean with mild soap and water

Do these inserts fit every Colorado tailgate or only specific models?

These letter inserts are tailored for Chevrolet Colorado pickup trucks made in 2021 and 2022 that have the factory recessed tailgate lettering grooves. They are not universal; fitment depends on the tailgate having those original grooves and the correct year range.

• Compatible with Colorado 2021 and 2022 recessed tailgates
• Confirm your tailgate groove pattern before ordering
• Not recommended for aftermarket or modified tailgates
• One-time alignment required for best visual result

How will this change my truck’s appearance and upkeep needs?

The matte-black raised letters offer a factory-style, refined look that modernizes the tailgate without altering structure. Maintenance is minimal—regular washing and occasional inspection of the adhesive bond keep the inserts looking new for years.

• Creates a subtle custom look without paint or bodywork
• Low-maintenance—wash and inspect periodically
• Maintains resale-friendly, non-permanent upgrade option
• Can be removed cleanly using heat and adhesive solvent

Who is this for: The MXU matte-black 3D tailgate letter inserts suit Colorado owners who want a quick, non-invasive exterior upgrade that preserves factory aesthetics. They are ideal for owners of 2021–2022 Chevrolet Colorado trucks with original recessed tailgate grooves who prefer a durable, low-maintenance styling enhancement over repainting or aftermarket badges.
