NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plugs TR5IX 7397 Pack of 8 — long-life, OEM-fit ignition

NGK TR5IX 7397 is a set of eight Laser Iridium spark plugs built for long life, consistent ignition and OEM-level fit for compatible engines.

These NGK Laser Iridium plugs are engineered to deliver stable sparks and extended service intervals, making them a common factory choice for many vehicle makers. As the world’s largest original-equipment spark plug supplier, NGK designs each part to meet precise manufacturing tolerances and corrosion-resistant standards. Before ordering, verify compatibility with your vehicle’s make, model, engine and the exact number of plugs required by consulting NGK’s application guide or your vehicle manual.

Will these plugs fit my vehicle and how do I confirm compatibility?

Fitment depends on the engine design, ignition system and the quantity specified by the manufacturer. Always cross-check the TR5IX 7397 against NGK’s official application chart or your vehicle’s service information to ensure correct thread size, reach and heat range.

• Check NGK’s online application lookup with your VIN, year, make and model.
• Compare thread diameter, hex size and reach to the original plugs.
• Confirm engine-specific requirements (turbo, hybrid, high-compression variants).
• Match the required quantity—this listing contains eight plugs.

How do these Laser Iridium plugs affect performance and maintenance?

Laser Iridium tips provide a fine electrode that supports reliable ignition at lower voltages and helps preserve spark quality over many miles. That means smoother starts, more consistent combustion and longer service intervals compared with standard copper plugs, when installed and gapped correctly.

• Iridium center electrode for slow wear and steady spark energy.
• Reduced re-gapping frequency compared with conventional plugs.
• Better cold-start ignition and stable idle in properly functioning engines.
• Follow torque and gap specs on installation to maintain performance.

What should I know about installation and service life?

Proper installation—clean threads, correct torque and the recommended gap—is essential for longevity and engine health. NGK iridium plugs are designed to last significantly longer than standard plugs, but actual life varies with driving habits, engine condition and maintenance practices.

• Use a torque wrench to NGK or vehicle manufacturer specs; avoid overtightening.
• Inspect ignition coils and boots when replacing plugs to prevent misfires.
• Typical service intervals are longer than copper plugs; monitor engine symptoms.
• If signs of fouling or electrode wear appear, replace sooner regardless of mileage.

Why choose NGK Laser Iridium instead of aftermarket alternatives?

NGK supplies many automakers with factory-installed spark plugs, so their components are built to meet strict OEM tolerances and quality controls. Choosing NGK Laser Iridium means selecting materials and manufacturing processes intended for durability and consistent performance in compatible engines.

• OEM-grade manufacturing standards and material quality control.
• Proven iridium electrode design for slow wear and reliable ignition.
• Backed by NGK’s global reputation as a leading spark plug supplier.
• Sold as a set of eight to match multi-cylinder engine needs.

Who is this for? The NGK TR5IX 7397 Pack of 8 is ideal for vehicle owners and professional technicians seeking OEM-equivalent iridium spark plugs for compatible engines that require a pack quantity of eight. It’s well suited to drivers who prefer extended service intervals and dependable ignition behavior, and to anyone performing scheduled tune-ups or replacing worn plugs with a factory-grade part. Always confirm the TR5IX 7397 is the correct part number for your specific engine before purchasing.
