Optimum Polymer Technologies ONR No Rinse Wash & Shine Version 5 — 32 oz concentrated rinseless car wash, polymer protection

Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine Version 5 (ONR) is a concentrated rinseless car wash formula that cleans, shines, and protects vehicle surfaces using just a bucket, a small amount of water, and microfiber towels. Optimum No Rinse (ONR) Version 5 is a versatile detailing concentrate from Optimum Polymer Technologies, Inc., made in the USA. The upgraded polymer-rich formula encapsulates dirt so particles lift off safely and won’t scratch paint, allowing you to wash from your garage or with minimal water outdoors. Use it diluted for traditional rinseless washing, at stronger dilutions for waterless spot cleaning, or as a clay-lube to remove bonded contaminants before polishing.

How is ONR different from regular car shampoo?

ONR is intentionally designed without heavy soaping surfactants that require a rinse. Instead, it uses polymers to bind and suspend grime so you can lift it from the surface rather than scrub it into the finish. This reduces water use and helps protect clear coats.

• Concentrated: 1 oz per 2 gallons for a full rinseless wash.
• Polymer encapsulation reduces friction and swirls.
• Safe for painted surfaces, ceramic coatings, and glass when used as directed.

Can I use ONR on interior surfaces and delicate finishes?

Yes—ONR is formulated to be safe on many interior and exterior materials when diluted properly. It gently lifts dirt from upholstery, vinyl, leather, dashboards, infotainment screens, and trim without leaving greasy residue.

• Use lighter dilutions for leather and electronics-friendly cleaning.
• Wipe with microfiber towels to avoid streaks and lint transfer.
• Works as a quick wipe-down spray for dashboards and door panels.

What equipment and dilution ratios produce the best results?

For a standard rinseless wash, combine 1 ounce of concentrate per 2 gallons of water in a bucket and use a grit-guard, a few clean microfiber towels or the Optimum Big Red Sponge. For waterless spot cleaning or clay lubrication, adjust the dilution to the specified stronger ratios for safe, efficient removal of contaminants.

• Rinseless wash: 1 oz ONR per 2 gallons of water.
• Waterless/detailing spray: 8 oz per gallon for economical on-the-go cleaning.
• Clay lube: use a light to moderate dilution to allow safe clay bar/mitt glide.

Is ONR eco-friendly and suitable for low-water situations?

ONR is engineered to minimize water consumption by enabling washes with only a few gallons versus a full hose-down. Its rinseless approach reduces runoff volume while still capturing and removing grime safely—helpful for drought-prone areas or indoor detailing where a hose isn’t available.

• Use 1–2 gallons for a full car rinseless wash in most cases.
• Reduces overall water use versus traditional hose-and-shampoo methods.
• Ideal for garage-based detailing and winter storage maintenance.

Who is this for? Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine V5 is aimed at weekend enthusiasts, detailers, and vehicle owners who want a safe, efficient way to clean cars, motorcycles, RVs, boats, and aircraft without heavy water use. If you value minimizing swirl risk, need a multi-use product (wash, clay lube, interior cleaner), or have limited access to a hose, ONR provides an all-in-one, pro-grade option developed and manufactured by Optimum Polymer Technologies in the USA.
