P & S PROFESSIONAL DETAIL PRODUCTS Reset clay decontamination towel 12x12 — fine-grade, paint-safe, removes fallout

P&S Reset Clay Decontamination Towel is a fine-grade rubber polymer cloth that safely lifts bonded contaminants from paint, glass, and metal for a smoother, glossier finish.

The Reset clay towel replaces slow, fragile clay bars with a faster, more durable decontamination method. Built from a rubber polymer matrix, the towel is engineered to grab and hold fallout, overspray, rail dust, and other embedded grime while gliding across surfaces when used with proper lubricant. This leaves panels feeling slick and ready for waxes, sealants, or ceramic coatings, improving adhesion and visual depth without aggressive abrasion.

How does Reset remove bonded contaminants without damaging paint?

Reset uses a fine-grade rubber polymer texture that conforms to the surface, lifting particles rather than cutting into clearcoat. When combined with a detailing spray or clay lubricant, it reduces friction and lets the polymer grab embedded fallout safely. The result is a cleaned surface without the rolling, tearing, or crumbling common to traditional clay bars.

• Fine-grade polymer structure minimizes surface abrasion
• Works with lubricant to slough off industrial fallout and rail dust
• Leaves a smooth, defect-free surface suitable for sealants

How much faster is the Reset towel compared with a clay bar?

The cloth format and rubber polymer formula let Reset cover large panels quickly and maintain consistent contact. Users report reduced time spent on decontamination because the towel glides and traps contaminants without frequent reshaping or replacement. Its durability also means fewer interruptions during a detail session.

• Cloth design covers flat and curved panels efficiently
• No reshaping required like with traditional clay bars
• Works steadily across multiple panels before needing cleaning

What surfaces and contaminants is Reset safe for?

Reset is formulated as a fine-grade towel intended for painted surfaces, glass, and bare metal when used with proper lubricant and technique. It targets embedded items such as overspray, water spots, surface rust stains, brake dust fallout, and industrial grime without aggressive polishing action. Avoid excessive pressure and use a detail spray to ensure safety on delicate finishes.

• Safe for clearcoat, painted panels, glass, and metal with lubrication
• Effective on rail dust, overspray, water spots, and light surface rust
• Not a polishing pad—follow with polish or coating for paint correction

How does Reset improve protection and shine after decontamination?

Removing bonded contaminants creates a uniform surface that allows waxes, sealants, and coatings to bond more evenly and last longer. Reset’s fine finish reduces haze and micro-roughness so reflective products deliver deeper gloss and truer optical clarity. This step helps subsequent protection perform as designed, rather than sitting on trapped debris.

• Prepares surface for better adhesion of protection products
• Reduces micro-roughness for improved gloss and depth
• Helps coatings and sealants apply uniformly and last longer

Who is this towel for: P&S Reset is built for professional detailers, mobile technicians, and enthusiast detailers who want a faster, repeatable decontamination method without the fragility of clay bars. It's ideal when you need reliable removal of embedded fallout and a contamination-free surface before polishing, waxing, or coating. For best results, use with a quality clay lubricant and follow with your preferred protection product to lock in the enhanced gloss.
