Permatex Anti-Seize Lubricant aerosol 12 oz — Aluminum-Copper-Graphite, high-temp protection to 1600°F

Permatex 81464 Anti-Seize Lubricant is a high-temperature, aluminum-copper-graphite blend in a 12 oz aerosol can that prevents seizing, corrosion, and galling for easier assembly and disassembly.

This aerosol anti-seize delivers a durable, metal-infused film engineered to protect threaded and sliding metal parts from corrosion, salt, moisture, and chemical exposure. Formulated with aluminum, copper, and graphite, it withstands extreme temperatures from -60°F up to 1600°F (-51°C to 871°C), making it suitable for engine, exhaust, marine, and industrial applications where heat and harsh environments threaten fastener life and serviceability.

How will this anti-seize help when working on high-temperature parts?

Applied to bolts, spark plugs, and exhaust threads, the Permatex 81464 film stays stable under high heat so components don't bind or fuse together. The metal powders in the formula maintain a conductive, protective layer that resists cold welding and eases later removal.

• Temperature performance from -60°F to 1600°F (-51°C to 871°C)
• Ideal for spark plugs, exhaust bolts, cylinder head fasteners
• Prevents galling and eases disassembly after prolonged heat exposure

Can I use this on parts exposed to saltwater or harsh chemicals?

Yes — the lubricant is formulated to resist salt, moisture, and many corrosive environments, making it a good choice for marine and coastal equipment. Its corrosion-inhibiting film helps protect steel and other metals from long-term environmental damage.

• Salt and moisture resistant for marine fittings and hardware
• Protects anchor pins, U-bolts, hinges, and exposed fasteners
• Reduces corrosion where disassembly access is critical

How do I apply Permatex 81464 for best results?

Shake the can well and spray a light, even coat onto clean, dry metal surfaces at assembly time. Allow any solvent carrier to evaporate before tightening; a thin, consistent film provides the best balance of protection and cleanable serviceability.

• Spray onto threads, bolts, pins, or gears from recommended distance
• Wipe excess to avoid attracting dirt on moving parts
• Apply during assembly to prevent future seizing or galling

What common applications benefit most from this anti-seize?

This aerosol is commonly used wherever metal fasteners face heat, moisture, or corrosive conditions. Mechanics, marine technicians, and industrial maintenance crews use it to simplify future repairs and reduce time spent breaking loose rusted or welded parts.

• Spark plug threads and exhaust manifold bolts
• Brake anchor pins, U-bolts, and spring bolts
• Gears, chains, sprockets, hinges, and rollers

Who is this for: Permatex 81464 Anti-Seize is suited to professional technicians, DIY mechanics, and boat owners who need a reliable, high-temperature lubricant that protects fasteners against corrosion and galling. Choose the 12 oz aerosol when you want quick, even coverage for assemblies and repairs where long-term serviceability and resistance to heat, salt, and moisture are priorities.
