PlugSaf RV Surge Protector 22000J 30 Amp — Auto Shutoff, LED Display & Waterproof Cover

The PlugSaf 22000J 30 Amp RV Surge Protector is a heavy-duty plug-and-play device that prevents dangerous voltage events, monitors incoming power in real time, and automatically cuts and restores power when voltage or temperature becomes unsafe.

When you connect your camper or travel trailer to shore power, unseen voltage spikes, miswired pedestals, and weather-exposed outlets can damage appliances and electronics. The PlugSaf 22000J couples a high-energy surge absorber with a professional-grade digital circuit analyzer and an oversized weather cover to give reliable, on-site protection and instant diagnostics before you plug in.

How does this protector stop power surges and spikes?

The unit contains surge suppression components rated to absorb up to 22,000 joules, diverting harmful transient energy away from your RV’s electrical system. It also responds instantly to extreme events so brief surges don’t reach sensitive devices.

• 22,000J nominal surge absorption capacity for large transient events
• 30 amp rating compatible with common RV shore power connections
• Robust internal components designed to clamp high-voltage spikes
• ETL and FCC safety certifications for quality assurance

What diagnostic information does the LED display provide?

The built-in LED screen shows real-time voltage, current and power readings, plus clear error codes when it detects wiring faults. That lets you confirm shore power quality and identify common issues before you energize your RV’s circuits.

• Live voltage readout to check pedestal stability
• Current and power indicators to spot overloads
• Error codes for open ground, reversed polarity, and open neutral
• Simple visual feedback for faster troubleshooting at campsites

When and how does the automatic shutoff and reset work?

The protector continuously monitors voltage and temperature and will cut power immediately if readings move outside safe thresholds. Once conditions return to a predefined safe range, the unit will automatically reconnect, eliminating manual intervention while protecting equipment.

• Auto shutoff for over-voltage, under-voltage and over-temperature events
• Automatic reset when voltage stabilizes within the safe band (approx. 104–132V)
• Reduces risk of damage from unstable shore power
• Prevents repeated plug-in cycles by handling reset logic internally

Is the plug durable and weatherproof enough for outdoor use?

The PlugSaf unit includes an oversized waterproof cover and an ergonomic grip to withstand exposure at campsites. The design protects the connection from rain, dust, and wind while making it easy to plug and unplug even in wet conditions.

• Extra-large protective cover fits most RV plugs and keeps moisture out
• Durable housing and grip handle for repeated outdoor use
• IP-friendly design elements to defend against sand and spray
• Compact, plug-and-play form for quick setup on the pedestal

Who is this for: The PlugSaf 22000J 30A RV Surge Protector is designed for RV owners, seasonal campers, and fleet operators who want professional-level surge protection and on-site diagnostics without complex installation. It’s ideal for anyone who plugs into campgrounds, marinas, or temporary shore power and needs fast, reliable protection for appliances, electronics, and onboard control systems.
