QUICKIEPARTS Synthetic-Blend 10W-30 Engine Oil Kit for Kohler-Style Small Engines — 2 qt + 52 050 02-S Filter, Improved Protection

This QUICKIEPARTS kit combines the right oil viscosity and a matched oil filter so you can service lawn tractors, generators, and other small engines quickly. The blend of synthetic components and conventional base stocks gives improved protection over straight mineral oils, while 10W-30 offers a widely accepted operating range for machines used in moderate climates. The included 52 050 02-S oil filter is specified for many Kohler applications, making filter compatibility straightforward for common repairs and routine maintenance.

Why choose synthetic-blend 10W-30 for small engines?

Synthetic-blend 10W-30 balances protection and cost: it flows well at startup temperatures and maintains a stable film at operating temperature. This makes it a practical option for machines that see varying run times and occasional heavier loads.

• Improved shear stability versus straight mineral oils
• Good cold-start flow for temperatures above freezing
• Stable viscosity under typical operating heat

How does the 52 050 02-S filter protect my engine?

The 52 050 02-S filter traps particulates and contaminants that can accelerate wear on bearings and cylinder walls. Using a specified filter reduces the chance of bypass or poor sealing compared with mismatched aftermarket options.

• Captures dirt, metal particles, and combustion byproducts
• Designed to fit Kohler-style mounting and sealing surfaces
• Helps maintain oil cleanliness between scheduled changes

What equipment and conditions are best for this kit?

This kit is suited for air-cooled, four-stroke small engines commonly found in lawn and garden equipment, generators, and other light-duty machinery. It’s intended for use where ambient temperatures regularly stay above 32°F and where manufacturer guidance approves 10W-30 or SAE 30 viscosity.

• Standard garden tractors and walk-behind mowers
• Portable generators and pressure washers
• Engines with low to moderate hour use between services

How should I change the oil and filter using this kit?

Drain warm oil, replace the oil filter with the 52 050 02-S, and refill with the two quarts of synthetic-blend 10W-30 or as your engine owner manual specifies. Tighten the new filter to the recommended torque or hand-tight plus quarter-turn to ensure a proper seal.

• Warm engine for easier drainage and better contaminant removal
• Lubricate filter gasket with clean oil before installation
• Check oil level after fill and after a brief run, topping as needed

Who this is for: Owners and hobbyist mechanics who perform routine maintenance on small engines and prefer the performance and convenience of a matched oil-plus-filter kit will appreciate this QUICKIEPARTS bundle. It’s aimed at users who want a practical, cost-conscious upgrade from straight mineral oil without changing brands or searching for the correct filter size. If you follow manufacturer oil viscosity recommendations and operate equipment in moderate climates, this kit simplifies scheduled service and helps maintain engine cleanliness and longevity.
