Raggtopp Convertible Top Fabric Protectant 2141 — Water‑repellent, UV Protection for Fabric Tops

Restore and extend the life of your convertible top with a protectant engineered for fabric and stitching. RaggTopp’s 2141 formula bonds to the outer coat of woven tops to renew stain resistance and shed water, while UV stabilizers reduce fading and fiber breakdown from sunlight exposure. This VOC-compliant product avoids silicones, freons, and chlorofluorocarbons, and is formulated to be safe around paint and glass when applied with standard precautions.

How does this protect my convertible top from water and stains?

The 2141 protectant uses a fluoropolymer base that chemically adheres to the fabric’s outer layer, creating a hydrophobic barrier that causes water and many liquid contaminants to bead and run off instead of soaking in. Repeated light coats rebuild repellency lost over time and from weather exposure.

• Professional-strength fluoropolymer bonds to the top coat
• Renewed water beading and stain resistance after application
• Apply three light coats for durable protection

Will it help prevent sun damage and fading?

Yes — the formula contains UV-blocking absorbers and stabilizers that reduce the rate at which sunlight degrades fabric dyes and fibers. While no product can stop all sun-related aging, regular reapplication slows color loss and material breakdown compared with untreated tops.

• UV absorbers reduce fading and fiber deterioration
• Extends time between full fabric replacements
• Best used as part of a seasonal maintenance routine

Is it safe to use on paint, glass, and stitching?

RaggTopp 2141 is formulated to avoid silicone and harsh propellants that can harm finishes; overspray can be wiped away from paint and glass without leaving residue when cleaned promptly. The protectant is also designed to bond safely to stitching and seams, reinforcing protection without interfering with fabric flexibility.

• No silicone, freon, or chlorofluorocarbons in the formula
• Wipe off overspray from paint and glass immediately
• Compatible with stitched seams—helps shield thread from elements

How do I apply RaggTopp 2141 for best results?

Apply in clean, dry conditions with light, even sprays, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next. Multiple thin coats produce a more uniform, long-lasting barrier than one heavy application; follow safety and ventilation guidance on the label.

• Spray three light coats, allowing drying between coats
• Work in shade or moderate temperatures for even coverage
• Wipe any overspray from surrounding surfaces promptly
