Renegade Products Aluminum Polishing Mini Kit — 2-Stage Buffing with Wheels, Compounds & Hand Polish

Renegade Products Aluminum Polishing Mini Kit is a compact, two-stage buffing system with wheels, Tripoli and green rouge compounds, plus a pro red hand polish and microfibers for finished shine.

This mini kit bundles the core tools for restoring and finishing aluminum parts at home or in the shop. It combines two matched buffing wheels and abrasive compounds for cutting and coloring, a liquid hand polish for tight spots and upkeep, and soft microfiber cloths for streak-free finishing. The components are chosen to take metal from dull to reflective without needing a large, specialized setup.

How does the two-step buffing process work?

The kit uses an orange cut wheel with Tripoli compound to remove oxidation, scratches and surface imperfections, followed by a yellow wheel with green rouge to develop a bright, mirror-like finish. Each stage is designed to be used on a right-angle grinder or bench polisher for controlled results.

• Stage 1: orange cut wheel + Tripoli (brown) compound for cutting and defect removal
• Stage 2: yellow wheel + green rouge for coloring and high-gloss finishing
• Use moderate speed and light pressure; work progressively across the piece

What tools and accessories are included for safe, precise polishing?

Along with the two buffing wheels and two compound bars, the kit includes a safety flange for right-angle grinders, pro Red liquid hand polish for detailed spots, and microfiber cloths to remove residue and enhance luster. These accessories help you polish both large surfaces and intricate areas safely.

• 8" x 3" orange cut and 8" x 3" yellow color buffing wheels
• Tripoli brown compound and 3 lb green rouge polishing bar
• Right-angle grinder safety flange, Rebel Pro Red liquid polish, and microfibers

Which aluminum parts respond best to this kit?

The system is suitable for cast and extruded aluminum components such as wheels, hubcaps, trim, fuel tanks, barrels, spokes and other decorative or functional metalwork. It performs well on mildly to moderately oxidized surfaces and for regular maintenance polishing.

• Wheels, spokes and rims—removes brake dust and light corrosion
• Fuel tanks, trim pieces, and polished engine components
• Restoration projects where progressive cutting and coloring are needed

Who is this for? This mini kit is aimed at DIY enthusiasts, detailers and small shops who need a portable, effective polishing solution without buying separate compounds and wheels. It’s also useful for hobbyists working on motorcycles, cars, boats and custom metal projects who want a reliable two-step system plus a hand polish and cloths for tight areas and maintenance between machine passes.
