This complete front tie-rod assembly set is engineered to fit a range of GM vehicles — including Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Avalanche, Suburban and Escalade models from the listed years — and is supplied pre-greased for immediate installation. The kit includes two front inner tie rod ends (ES3488) and two front outer tie rod ends (ES3493T), offering a straightforward way to address wandering steering, uneven tire wear, or looseness in the front end without replacing unrelated components.
Worn inner or outer tie rod ends allow play between the steering rack and the wheels, which shows up as vague steering or delayed response. New SCITOO ends re-establish the correct geometry so each steering input transfers directly to the wheels.
This kit targets a broad set of GM light trucks and SUVs across model years noted by SCITOO. Check your vehicle year and engine configuration against the fit list before ordering to ensure compatibility.
The SCITOO package includes two inner and two outer front tie rod ends matched to factory steering geometry. All parts arrive pre-lubricated, which speeds installation and reduces initial break-in noise.
Physical wear shows through audible, tactile, and handling symptoms. If you notice any of these signs, inspect the tie rod ends and replace them as needed to maintain safe steering performance.
Who this is for: This SCITOO front suspension tie rod kit is aimed at DIY mechanics and professional technicians working on late-1990s to mid-2000s GM pickup trucks and SUVs who need a cost-effective, ready-to-install replacement for worn steering components. It's also suitable for fleet managers and enthusiasts restoring steering feel and front-end stability; remember to perform a wheel alignment after installation for best results.
Q: Does this kit include inner and outer tie rod ends?
A: Yes — the package contains two ES3488 inner tie rod ends and two ES3493T outer tie rod ends.
Q: Do I need an alignment after installing these tie rods?
