SIKADEER RV Skylight Cover 14x14 - 3" Insulated Vent Insert, 2-Pack with Reflective Foil

SIKADEER's 14"×14" RV skylight cover is a 3"-thick insulated panel that inserts into the roof opening to cut radiant heat, reduce drafts and stabilize interior temperatures year-round.

Upgrade your camper's comfort with a purpose-built skylight insert designed to manage heat transfer through the roof vent. This two-piece set combines dense foam with reflective aluminum bubble foil to block heat gain in summer and reduce heat loss in winter. Installation is tool-free and the covers are built for repeated use, low-maintenance cleaning and secure placement so you can rely on them whether parked for a weekend or living full-time on the road.

How does this skylight cover reduce temperature swings?

The cover uses a 3-inch high-density foam core that adds thermal mass and slows conductive heat transfer. A dual-layer aluminum bubble foil reflects radiant heat and UV, lowering the amount of solar energy that penetrates the cabin. Together they reduce the workload on your HVAC or portable fan, helping maintain a steadier interior climate.

• 3" dense foam core resists conductive heat flow
• Dual aluminum bubble foil reflects up to 97% of radiant heat
• Fits standard 14"×14" openings and compatible 22"×14" shapes

Will it stay in place while driving or in windy conditions?

Yes — the insert secures by press-fit into the skylight aperture, and non-slip silicone dots reduce movement after installation. Included hook-and-loop fasteners provide an extra anchor for longer trips or rough roads, so the cover remains stable without rattling. The snug fit also helps limit unwanted air exchange when on the move.

• Press-fit installation for immediate hold
• Non-slip silicone dots prevent shifting
• Hook-and-loop straps add long-term stability

How easy is cleaning and everyday use?

The outer aluminum foil surface wipes clean with a damp cloth and resists dust and light moisture, making upkeep fast. A smooth zipper system built into the cover allows quick access to the skylight when you want ventilation or light without removing the whole insert. The materials are chosen to handle repeated removal and reinstallation with minimal wear.

• Water-resistant aluminum foil layer wipes clean
• Smooth zipper for partial access without full removal
• Durable construction for frequent use

How does this help lower energy use in my RV?

By reducing heat gain during hot days and limiting heat loss on cold nights, the skylight insert helps your heater or AC run less often. That reduces fuel or battery draw and can extend the life of climate-control systems. Over time, this translates to lower operating costs and fewer temperature-related comfort adjustments.

• Minimizes HVAC runtime in both heating and cooling seasons
• Supports lower battery/fuel consumption while camping off-grid
• Two-pack covers multiple skylights or provides a spare

Who is this for? RV owners, frequent campers and van-lifers who want a straightforward, low-effort way to improve interior comfort and reduce climate-control demands will benefit most. It's a practical choice for people living in variable climates, travelers who go off-grid, and anyone looking to cut drafts and glare without permanent modifications to their skylight. The 2-pack gives flexibility to outfit two vents or keep a backup on hand.
