SKYMIRO 5 Inch Exhaust Band Clamp 2-Pack, 304 Stainless Lap-Joint, 3in Wide Dual-Bolt 360° Seal

The SKYMIRO 5" exhaust clamp is a 304 stainless-steel lap-joint band designed to join 5" OD pipe to 3" ID pipe with a durable, leak-minimizing 360° seal for mufflers, elbows, catalytic converters and exhaust tubing.

This two-piece clamp set offers a corrosion-resistant, no-weld connection for automotive and industrial exhaust systems. Built from 304 stainless steel with a zinc-plated fastener, the band provides heat-tolerant strength and a pre-threaded, dual-bolt design that simplifies installation while resisting vibration loosening. The lap-joint I-block geometry distributes clamping force evenly around the joint to reduce leakage and extend component life.

How does this clamp create a reliable, leak-resistant connection?

The SKYMIRO band clamp uses a lap-joint with an I-block design to achieve a continuous 360-degree squeeze around the mating pipes. That geometry prevents point-loading common with U-bolts and produces a more consistent compressive seal.

• 360° force distribution from the lap-joint I-block design
• 3-inch (76 mm) wide strap spreads pressure for improved sealing
• Dual bolts maintain even tension and resist vibration-driven loosening

What materials and construction make it durable in hot, corrosive exhaust environments?

The clamp body is made from 304 stainless steel for oxidation and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. The included zinc-plated bolts add extra protection and ease of thread engagement during repeated service cycles.

• 304 stainless-steel strap resists rusting and heat-induced degradation
• Zinc-plated fasteners reduce seizing and corrosion on threads
• Approximately 0.2" (5.08 mm) strap thickness for structural rigidity

How easy is installation and removal for repair or custom builds?

Installation is straightforward because the clamp uses pre-threaded hardware and requires no welding. The wide strap and dual-bolt layout allow for quick hand or wrench tightening, and the clamp can be removed or repositioned without specialized equipment.

• No-weld design simplifies retrofit and field repairs
• Pre-threaded bolts speed up assembly and maintenance
• Dual-bolt configuration helps achieve uniform clamping torque

Will this clamp fit my exhaust components and what should I measure?

Before purchasing, measure the outer diameter (OD) of the pipe and the inner diameter (ID) of the mating component. The SKYMIRO clamp is engineered to connect a 5" (approximately 126.99 mm ±0.2 mm) OD pipe to a 3" ID pipe; strap width is 3" (76 mm).

• Designed for 5" OD pipe to 3" ID mating components
• Strap width: 3" (76 mm); strap thickness ≈ 0.2" (5.08 mm)
• Measure both OD and ID before ordering to ensure correct fit

Who is this for: This SKYMIRO clamp set is aimed at mechanics, custom exhaust fabricators, performance enthusiasts and industrial technicians who need a robust, reusable, and heat-resistant connection for mufflers, elbows, catalytic converters and exhaust tubing. It suits repair jobs, aftermarket upgrades and custom builds where a strong, leak-minimizing, no-weld solution is preferred. If you require a corrosion-resistant clamp with even sealing pressure and simple installation, this 2-piece band clamp delivers practical durability and serviceability.
