STA-BIL Storage Fuel Stabilizer 1 Gallon — Keeps Gas Fresh up to 24 Months, Corrosion Protection

STA-BIL Storage Fuel Stabilizer (1 gallon) keeps gasoline fresh for up to 24 months and protects fuel systems during storage.

Whether you’re winterizing a lawn mower, storing a motorcycle for the season, or keeping spare fuel on hand, STA-BIL Storage is a concentrated additive formulated to preserve gasoline and protect engine components. Its proprietary blend of antioxidants, anti-corrosives and detergents is designed to work with both ethanol and non-ethanol fuels so your equipment starts reliably after long idle periods.

How long will STA-BIL Storage keep my fuel usable?

When mixed at the recommended ratio, this formula stabilizes gasoline for up to 24 months in stored equipment and fuel containers. It reduces oxidation and gum formation that degrade fuel quality over time.

• Use 1 oz of product per 2.5 gallons of gasoline.
• Protects both ethanol-blended and non-ethanol fuels.
• Suitable for vehicles, boats, and small engines during long-term storage.
• Store treated fuel per local safety guidelines for best results.

Will STA-BIL Storage prevent corrosion and engine damage?

STA-BIL’s formula includes anti-corrosive ingredients that form a protective barrier within the fuel system, reducing rust and deterioration of metal parts while fuel sits. This helps maintain fuel-system integrity and reduces maintenance issues when you return equipment to service.

• Guards fuel tanks, carburetors, and fuel injectors from corrosion.
• Neutralizes acids and moisture that promote internal rust.
• Compatible with multiple engine types—motorcycles, ATVs, lawn equipment, boats.

How do I use STA-BIL Storage so equipment starts easily after storage?

Pour the measured amount of STA-BIL Storage directly into the fuel tank before adding gasoline, then fill the tank. After fueling, run the engine for about five minutes to circulate the treated fuel throughout the system.

• Dosage: 1 ounce per 2.5 gallons of gasoline.
• Pour product in first, then add fuel to ensure proper mixing.
• Run the engine five minutes to treat the full fuel system.

Are there shelf-life or expiration details I should know?

The product remains effective for up to two years after opening and up to five years from the production date stamped on the bottle. Production date uses a 5-digit code (YYDDD) on the back—YY for year, DDD for day of year.

• 2 years usable after opening the container.
• 5 years maximum from production date (readable as YYDDD).
• Follow storage and safety instructions on the label for longevity.

Who is this for: STA-BIL Storage 1 gallon is designed for homeowners, mechanics, fleet operators, boat owners, and anyone who stores gasoline or equipment for extended periods. It’s especially useful for seasonal equipment (mowers, snow blowers, motorcycles, ATVs), marine applications, and facilities that maintain backup fuel. If you want to minimize fuel-related starting problems and protect fuel-system components during storage, this concentrated stabilizer offers an economical, lab-tested solution without altering routine fuel-handling practices.
