STARFIRE All-Season Tire 215/65R17 99T Solarus AS — Quiet Highway Ride & Wet/Dry Traction

STARFIRE Solarus AS 215/65R17 99T is an all-season touring tire engineered for dependable wet and dry traction, stable handling, and reduced road noise.

Designed as a replacement or upgrade for passenger cars, crossovers, and small SUVs, the Solarus AS blends a reworked tread compound with structural features to deliver balanced everyday performance. Its shoulders, center rib, and a variable pitch layout work together to optimize grip, steering response, and cabin quietness without sacrificing ride comfort.

How does the Solarus AS perform in wet and dry conditions?

The Solarus AS uses a re-engineered tread compound and profile to improve adhesion on both wet and dry pavement. The compound resists hydroplaning tendencies while maintaining predictable contact with the road so braking and cornering feel consistent.

• All-season tread compound tuned for traction on wet and dry surfaces
• Shoulder slots and biting edges that help evacuate water and bite on slick surfaces
• Solid center rib to keep contact for stable braking response

Will this tire deliver a comfortable, quiet ride on highways?

The Solarus AS targets low cabin noise and a smooth highway experience by combining a continuous center rib with a variable pitch tread pattern. Differently sized tread blocks disrupt harmonics that create tire roar, while the solid rib helps dampen roughness felt through the steering wheel.

• Variable pitch tread elements reduce repetitive noise frequencies
• Solid center rib for steady steering and reduced vibration
• Designed for calm highway cruising at sustained speeds

How does the tread design affect handling and tread life?

Shoulder Control Technology, featuring deep slots and biting edges, improves lateral stability and distributes load across the tread for more even wear. This combination promotes consistent handling as the tire ages while maintaining traction throughout its service life.

• Shoulder control features for improved cornering grip and stability
• Deep slots help manage water and debris to preserve contact patches
• Balanced design to encourage even wear across the tread

What should I consider when matching this tire to my vehicle?

Confirm the 215/65R17 99T size fits your vehicle’s recommended specifications, including load index and speed rating. The Solarus AS is intended for drivers who want a quiet, comfortable all-season option for daily driving—verify fitment and load needs before purchase.

• Size: 215/65R17, load index 99, speed rating T
• Suitable for passenger cars, crossovers, and small SUVs when listed by the vehicle maker
• Check owner manual or placard for correct tire size and pressure
