Valterra Odorlos holding tank treatment 40oz self-measuring bottle — formaldehyde-free, nitrate-based odor control

Valterra Odorlos V77002 is a 40oz self-measuring holding tank treatment that feeds beneficial bacteria with nitrates to reduce odors and speed waste breakdown without formaldehyde.

Designed for RV and marine holding tanks as well as septic systems, this concentrated liquid delivers the nutrients naturally occurring bacteria need to metabolize waste efficiently. Instead of forcing bacteria to use sulfates (which can produce foul smells), Odorlos supplies a steady source of nitrates so microbes focus on safe decomposition. The product is formaldehyde-free, non-toxic, works in extreme temperatures, and comes in a convenient bottle with a built-in measuring cap for accurate dosing.

How does Valterra Odorlos prevent holding tank odors?

Odorlos shifts microbial activity toward nitrate-driven metabolism, which limits the production of sulfur-based gases that cause bad smells. By giving bacteria an alternative energy source, the formula reduces the biochemical pathways that produce offensive odors.

• Supplies nitrates to naturally occurring bacteria
• Reduces sulfate-driven odor formation
• Promotes steady, ongoing decomposition of waste

How do I use the 40oz self-measuring bottle for accurate dosing?

The bottle includes a measuring cap so you can pour the exact amount recommended for your tank size and frequency. Typical dosing is added directly to the holding tank after use or on a scheduled maintenance basis; follow label directions for tank capacity and conditions.

• Measure in the built-in cap to avoid over- or under-dosing
• Add after tank drains or as directed for steady maintenance
• Adjust frequency for heavy use, long storage, or extreme temperatures

Will this product work in cold or hot climates and different tank systems?

Valterra Odorlos is formulated to remain effective across a wide temperature range and is suitable for RV, marine, and septic holding tanks. Its non-toxic, formaldehyde-free composition means it is safe for plumbing hardware and most tank materials when used as directed.

• Effective in extreme hot and cold conditions
• Safe for standard RV, boat, and septic systems
• Helps prevent clogs by accelerating tissue and waste breakdown

What maintenance improvements can I expect after regular use?

Routine use helps keep tanks cleaner, reduces odor events, and minimizes buildup that leads to clogs and slow drains. Over time you should see fewer blockages, easier tank pump-outs, and a reduction in lingering smells after extended storage.

• Speeds degradation of tissue and organic waste
• Reduces frequency of manual cleaning and chemical masking agents
• Supports easier pump-out and more reliable plumbing performance
