VASTOOLS Hose Removal Pick Set Pack of 6 — 10" Spoon & Assorted Hooks, Heat-Treated with Non-Slip Handles

VASTOOLS Hose Removal Hook Pick Set is a six-piece metal pick and hook toolkit designed to quickly and safely separate radiator hoses, seals, O-rings, clips and gaskets from fittings.

This compact set bundles long and short hooks, straight and offset picks, and a 10" spoon-style hook so you can access tight engine bay spots without damaging hoses or connectors. Each rod is heat-treated for strength and finished with a protective plating, while the dual-material handles give a comfortable, non-slip grip for steady leverage. Whether you're changing coolant hoses, pulling O-rings, or prying gaskets, the variety of hook shapes helps you reach awkward angles and pry components away from necks and studs with controlled force.

How do these hooks make hose removal easier?

The hooks are shaped to slide between a hose and its fitting, then lever the hose free without tearing or stretching it. Offset and straight designs let you apply force from different directions so you avoid leaning on wiring or delicate trim.

• Includes long and short lengths to reach deep or shallow fittings.
• Spoon-style 10" hook concentrates pull at the hose bead for clean separation.
• Offset hooks clear obstacles like clamps, brackets, and wiring.
• Heat-treated rods resist bending under leverage during tough removals.

What materials and finishes are used to ensure durability?

Each rod is heat-treated to boost tensile strength and plated to resist corrosion from shop fluids and moisture. Handles are molded from two materials so they remain comfortable and slip-resistant even when oily.

• Plated finish protects metal from rust and chemical exposure.
• Heat-treated steel reduces the chance of permanent bending.
• Dual-material handles improve grip and reduce hand fatigue.
• Sturdy construction designed for repeated professional use.

Which tasks in the shop or at home is this set suited for?

The set is versatile for automotive, small engine, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks where seals, hoses, or small fasteners need to be teased free. It works well for removing O-rings, hose ends, clips, gaskets, and cotter pins without marring parts.

• Radiator and heater hose removal without cutting or damaging the hose bead.
• Prying gaskets and seals from tight grooves and flanges.
• Extracting O-rings, cotter pins, plastic clips, and trim fasteners.
• Accessing confined engine-bay locations with offset and long picks.

How should I use the different hook shapes safely?

Select the hook shape that gives the best leverage path to the hose bead or seal lip, then work slowly to avoid sudden slips. Use steady, controlled pressure and reposition as needed rather than forcing a single angle.

• Use the 10" spoon hook for broad, even separation at hose beads.
• Use offset hooks to avoid nearby hoses, wiring, or brackets.
• Short picks are useful for confined areas; long picks reach behind components.
• Keep fingers clear of clamps and pinch points while levering.

Who is this for: This VASTOOLS six-piece hook and pick set is aimed at DIY mechanics, home garage enthusiasts, and professional technicians who need a durable, compact set of removal tools for hoses, seals, and small fasteners. It’s useful for anyone who wants to protect hoses and fittings during service, reach awkward spaces without dismantling unrelated parts, and reduce time spent fighting stuck components.
