VHT Wheel Paint Gloss Clear 11 oz — High-Gloss Clearcoat for Steel & Aluminum Wheels, Chip-Resistant Protection

VHT Wheel Paint Gloss Clear 11 oz is a high-gloss protective spray formulated to restore and shield standard and custom wheels from chipping, fading, and oxidation.

VHT Wheel Paint in gloss clear is designed for automotive wheels that face harsh conditions—road salt, brake dust, gravel, and UV exposure. The aerosol delivers a durable clearcoat that bonds to both steel and aluminum wheel surfaces, improving gloss and helping maintain the wheel’s appearance up to approximately 250°F (121°C). It’s intended as a finish coat over properly prepared painted or bare wheel surfaces and is valued for chip resistance and long-lasting shine.

How does VHT Wheel Paint protect my wheels on the road?

The formulation creates a protective clear layer that resists chipping and helps guard against surface oxidation. While not impervious to heavy impact, it reduces visual wear from common road debris and corrosive elements.

• Chip-resistant clearcoat reduces paint flaking from small impacts.
• Protects metal surfaces from oxidation when applied correctly.
• Heat tolerance up to 250°F (121°C) for brake-area exposure.

Can I use this on both steel and aluminum wheels?

Yes—VHT Wheel Paint gloss clear is formulated for compatibility with steel and aluminum wheel substrates. For best adhesion and longevity, prepare the surface by cleaning, sanding as needed, and using recommended primer or base paint systems before applying the clearcoat.

• Works over properly prepared painted or bare steel and aluminum.
• Use appropriate primers or base coats for optimal bonding.
• Follow recommended drying and cure times between coats.

What finish and durability can I expect after application?

The product yields a glossy finish that enhances shine while adding a durable protective layer. Durability depends on surface prep, number of coats, and road conditions; when applied per instructions it offers improved resistance to fading and cracking compared with uncoated surfaces.

• High-gloss clear finish for enhanced wheel appearance.
• Resists cracking and noticeable fading under normal conditions.
• Multiple thin coats recommended for even coverage and strength.

How should I apply VHT Wheel Paint gloss clear for best results?

Preparation is key: degrease, remove contaminants, and sand to create a uniform surface. Apply light, even coats in a well-ventilated area, allowing recommended flash and dry times between passes to avoid runs and ensure full film build.

• Clean wheels thoroughly to remove grease, brake dust, and salts.
• Sand or scuff glossy areas for adhesion; remove dust before spraying.
• Spray multiple light coats; allow adequate drying time between coats.
