How does this cabin panel filter fit into my vehicle's ventilation system?

The 24483 is a flat panel cabin filter meant for slot- or tray-style filter housings common in many passenger vehicles. It replaces the existing panel filter and sits between the intake and the blower to capture airborne particles before they enter the cabin. Installation typically involves removing the glove box or an access panel, sliding out the old filter and inserting this panel in the correct orientation.

• Panel-style design for tray or slot housings
• Compact dimensions: 8.50 x 8.3 x 1.49 inches (package size)
• Lightweight for easy handling: approximately 0.29 pounds package weight
• Sold as a single filter — one replacement per pack

What materials and construction does the WIX 24483 use?

The filter media is pleated paper, selected to provide a balance between airflow and particle capture suitable for cabin comfort and HVAC protection. The simple paper construction makes it an economical option for routine maintenance. The edges are formed to maintain shape inside the panel housing and to ensure a stable fit under normal operating conditions.

• Primary media: pleated paper
• Panel construction for a stable fit in housings
• Designed for standard cabin airflow and particle control
• Single-unit packaging to replace one cabin filter at a time

When should I replace this cabin air panel filter and what performance can I expect?

Replacement intervals depend on driving conditions, but many technicians suggest checking the cabin filter during routine service or every 12,000–18,000 miles as a guideline. A fresh paper panel filter helps maintain consistent airflow through the HVAC blower and reduces buildup of dust and debris in the ventilation pathway. If you notice reduced airflow or odors from the vents, inspecting or replacing the cabin filter is a practical first step.

• Inspect during regular service or around 12k–18k miles as a reference
• Helps maintain HVAC airflow and reduce dust reaching the cabin
• Single-pack simplifies one-for-one replacement
• Economical choice for scheduled maintenance
