YzusGomumu aluminium thermostat housing — direct-fit for Chevy 1.4L, corrosion-resistant alloy

This aluminum coolant thermostat housing is engineered as a direct-fit replacement for a range of GM 1.4L vehicles, including Chevy Cruze, Sonic, Trax and Buick Encore models. Built from corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy and finished for long-term durability, the unit is designed to withstand high temperatures and pressure while using the same mounting points and seals as the original part. Before ordering, verify the OEM part numbers to ensure compatibility with your vehicle.

How does this aluminium housing improve cooling system performance?

The YzusGomumu housing improves thermal stability by replacing susceptible plastic components with a metal that tolerates higher temperatures and resists deformation. That stability helps the thermostat operate predictably at its designed startup temperature and reduces the chance of leaks under pressure.

• Material: corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy for consistent heat transfer.
• Thermostat startup temperature referenced at 95 °C / 203 °F.
• Precision-machined mating surfaces to maintain a reliable seal.
• Less prone to cracking from thermal cycling than plastic housings.

Will this unit fit my Chevy or Buick 1.4L model?

This assembly is intended as a direct replacement for many GM 1.4L gasoline engines from model years listed by the manufacturer. Always cross-check the listed OEM part numbers with your vehicle’s existing part to confirm correct fitment before purchasing.

• Compatible models: 2011–2016 Chevy Cruze 1.4L, 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited 1.4L.
• Also fits: 2012–2020 Chevy Sonic, 2013–2020 Chevy Trax, 2013–2020 Buick Encore (1.4L).
• OEM numbers for verification: 25200455, 55565336, 55579010, 55593034, 34709, 902-808, 730-221.
• Recommend checking current part number and visual mounting points prior to installation.

What are the durability and maintenance advantages of the aluminium design?

Aluminium alloy offers stronger resistance to oxidation and chemical attack than many standard plastics, reducing the risk of premature failure. The upgraded housing reduces replacement frequency and helps maintain proper coolant routing and thermostat function under prolonged use.

• High-temperature tolerance reduces warping and stress cracking.
• Improved corrosion resistance for longer service life.
• Lower leakage risk due to consistent sealing surfaces.
• Compatible with standard coolant types used in GM vehicles.

What should I know about installation and compatibility checks?

The assembly installs using existing mounting points and gaskets on compatible engines; however, proper torque specifications and fresh seals are important to prevent leaks. If you’re unsure, consult a mechanic or service manual for torque values and hose routing specifics.

• Use new gasket or O-ring when reinstalling to ensure seal integrity.
• Inspect hoses and clamps while the system is drained; replace if brittle.
• Bleed the cooling system per manufacturer procedure to avoid air pockets.
• Confirm the part number on the old housing matches one listed above.

Who is this for: This YzusGomumu aluminium thermostat housing is aimed at owners and technicians who want a robust, long-lasting replacement for worn or damaged factory housings on GM 1.4L vehicles. It’s suitable for DIY mechanics comfortable with cooling-system service, fleet maintenance shops seeking durable components, and anyone prioritizing a corrosion-resistant, high-temperature alternative to stock plastic housings.
