3M Floor Stripper Pad 7200 — 13" Black Heavy-Duty Reusable Pad, Low-Speed Cutting

The 3M Black Stripper Pad 7200 is a heavy-duty, reusable floor stripping pad designed to remove multiple layers of old finish, sealer, and heavy soil from hard floors.

Built for commercial janitorial crews and facility maintenance teams, this 13-inch pad pairs coarse nylon/poly fibers with bonded abrasive minerals to deliver aggressive cutting action while resisting clogging. It’s intended for low-speed rotary machines and automatic scrubbers (175–600 rpm) and can be washed and reused to reduce consumable costs. The construction keeps performance consistent across the pad’s usable life, making it an industry benchmark for stripping tasks on surfaces such as vinyl, terrazzo, and concrete.

How does the 3M 7200 strip old finish effectively?

The pad uses coarse fibers that are fully impregnated with resin and mineral abrasive particles, producing strong initial cut and sustained stripping power. Its open, non-woven web allows stripper solution to flow through and debris to exit, preventing glaze and loading as the job progresses.

• Coarse nylon/poly fibers coated with resin and abrasive for aggressive abrasion
• Open-textured non-woven construction reduces clogging and glazing
• Removes two to three layers of finish in typical applications
• Designed for low-speed rotary equipment and automatic scrubbers

Can this pad be reused and how do I care for it?

Yes — the 7200 is washable and intended for multiple uses when rinsed and maintained properly. Regular cleaning after use removes trapped finish and chemical residue, prolonging service life and lowering replacement frequency.

• Rinse with water and mild detergent immediately after stripping sessions
• Allow to air dry fully before storage to prevent odor and degradation
• Inspect for excessive wear or loss of abrasive — replace when cut efficiency drops

Which machines and floor types are compatible with this pad?

The 13" 7200 pads are sized for most round and rectangular low-speed (175–600 rpm) rotary floor machines and many automatic scrubbers. They work well on hard surfaces that require finish removal, such as vinyl composition tile, terrazzo, and concrete, when used with the appropriate stripping solution.

• Fits 13-inch rotary floor machines and matching scrubber pad drivers
• Suitable for VCT, terrazzo, sealed concrete, and similar hard floors
• Compatible with water-based and solvent-based stripping chemicals
• Not intended for ultra-high-speed burnishing or delicate finishes

What performance can I expect and how does it save costs?

The 3M pad delivers nearly 40% greater initial cut than comparable stripping pads, providing faster finish removal and fewer passes. Because it resists loading and can be washed for reuse, facilities often see lower pad spend and quicker turnaround on stripping projects.

• High initial abrasion reduces time spent per area
• Durable construction lowers replacement frequency
• Open-web design maintains performance across the pad’s life
• Case packs simplify inventory and procurement for maintenance teams

Who is this for: The 3M Black Stripper Pad 7200 (13", case of 5) is designed for custodial teams, building services contractors, and facility managers who need a reliable, heavy-duty stripping pad that works with low-speed floor machines and automatic scrubbers. It’s a strong choice when aggressive finish removal, long pad life, and reduced supply costs are priorities for commercial, industrial, or institutional cleaning programs.
