3M PPS 2.0 Adapter S15 – 3/8" Male 19 BSP Spray Gun Fitting, Stainless Steel for Low-Waste Painting

The 3M PPS 2.0 Adapter #S15 (26046) is a stainless-steel fitting that lets you attach a 3/8" male 19 BSP spray gun to the 3M PPS 2.0 disposable cup system for a secure, low-waste painting setup.

The PPS 2.0 Adapter S15 is designed to bring the convenience and cleanliness of 3M's disposable lid-and-liner paint cups to guns that don’t natively accept them. Constructed from solvent-resistant stainless steel, this adapter provides a solid connection between the gun and PPS 2.0 lid so you can use your preferred spray gun while benefiting from faster mixing, reduced waste, and simplified cleanup.

How does this adapter maintain a stable connection between gun and PPS lid?

The S15 adapter uses a wide base and multiple contact points to lock the PPS lid to the gun securely. The design minimizes wobble and improves fluid flow consistency during spraying.

• Wide base provides increased surface contact with the lid for stability
• Four-point engagement secures the lid to the gun connection
• Quarter-turn style engagement aligns with PPS 2.0 lid geometry
• Stainless-steel construction resists solvent wear that can loosen fittings

Which spray guns will work with model S15 and how do I confirm fit?

Model S15 is specified as a 3/8" male fitting with 19-thread BSP; it fits many guns that accept that thread standard. Check the adapter compatibility chart supplied by 3M or verify your gun’s thread specification to ensure the correct match.

• S15 = 3/8" male, 19-thread BSP standard
• Refer to manufacturer's gun-thread specs or 3M compatibility chart
• If unsure, measure the gun inlet thread or consult your supplier
• Adapters exist for most major gun brands, matching common thread sizes

What performance and cleaning advantages does the PPS 2.0 system add?

Using this adapter with the PPS 2.0 cups gives you single-use lids and liners so mixing, filtering, and spraying happen in the same disposable container. That cuts paint waste, lowers contamination risk, and reduces required cleaning solvent compared with metal cup systems.

• Disposable liners avoid cross-contamination between color changes
• Reduce cleaning solvent use by up to 70% versus traditional cups
• Faster prep and cleanup—often reducing overall time by about 50%
• Printed mix ratios and clear windows speed accurate mixing and visual checks

Is the S15 adapter durable enough for frequent industrial use?

Yes. The S15 is machined from stainless steel chosen for chemical and solvent resistance, making it suitable for repeated use in shop environments. Its geometry and material maintain a reliable seal and resist wear from standard coatings and cleaning agents.

• Stainless-steel body resists corrosion from paints and solvents
• Robust threads and connections hold up under repeated attach/detach cycles
• Wide bowl design simplifies manual rinsing and visual inspection
• Made for industrial/occupational application rather than consumer one-off use

Who is this for: The 3M PPS 2.0 Adapter S15 is aimed at professional painters and industrial refinishers who want to keep their existing 3/8" BSP-threaded spray guns while moving to the cleaner, faster PPS 2.0 disposable-lid system. It's a practical choice for auto, marine, furniture, and equipment shops where contamination control, solvent savings, and quicker color changes improve workflow and lower operating costs.
