A ABIGAIL Air Intake Hose for Acura RDX 2.3L (2007–2012) — Direct-Fit Replacement, High-Temp Rubber

A ABIGAIL Air Intake Hose is a direct-fit replacement intake duct tube engineered to restore proper airflow to Acura RDX 2007–2012 2.3L engines, replacing part numbers 17228RWCA00 and 17228-RWC-A00.

This replacement air intake hose is molded from high-temperature rubber designed to withstand heat, resist drying and cracking, and deliver consistent airflow from the front intake through the airbox to the throttle body. It restores the physical connection that channels cool ambient air into the engine, helping the intake system operate as intended after the original duct becomes worn, torn, or brittle.

How will this hose affect engine airflow and performance?

While not a performance upgrade, a properly sealed, undamaged intake hose ensures the engine receives the air volume and pressure it expects, maintaining throttle response and fuel-air balance. Replacing a leaking or collapsed duct prevents unmetered air from entering and helps the ECU maintain correct fueling strategies.

• Direct OEM-style fit for correct alignment and sealing.
• Molded passages to preserve designed airflow path and vacuum routing.
• High-temperature rubber minimizes deformation under heat.

Will this part fit my Acura RDX and replace the factory number?

This hose is manufactured to match the original dimensions and mounting points used on Acura RDX models with the 2.3L engine from 2007 to 2012. It is listed as a replacement for OEM part numbers 17228RWCA00 and 17228-RWC-A00, making installation straightforward when the original hose is worn or damaged.

• Compatible with Acura RDX 2007–2012 2.3L engines.
• Replaces OEM numbers 17228RWCA00 and 17228-RWC-A00.
• Designed for a direct fit—no modifications typically required.

What material and durability can I expect from this intake duct tube?

The duct is constructed from high-temperature rubber that resists cracking, hardening, and drying over time, which are common failure modes for older intake hoses. The material choice extends service life and keeps the hose flexible across typical engine bay temperature cycles.

• High-temp rubber compound resists heat and environmental aging.
• Flexible design maintains seal under vibration and movement.
• Manufactured to meet or exceed OEM fit expectations (not a genuine OEM part).

How easy is the installation and what should I check during replacement?

Installation is typically a simple process for anyone comfortable with basic under-hood work: loosen clamps, remove the old hose, seat the new hose, and tighten clamps to factory torque. While installing, inspect adjoining components like the airbox, clamps, and intake sensors for wear or oil contamination that could affect longevity.

• Basic hand tools usually sufficient: screwdrivers and pliers for clamps.
• Check mating surfaces and replace worn clamps or seals as needed.
• Ensure vacuum port alignment and secure all fasteners to prevent leaks.

Who is this for? This A ABIGAIL air intake hose is intended for Acura RDX owners, DIY mechanics, and independent repair shops needing an economical, OEM-compatible replacement for a cracked, split, or hardened intake duct on 2007–2012 2.3L models.
