ACDelco Engine Cooling Fan Clutch, Silver — Professional OEM-fit, Durable Construction

ACDelco Professional 15-80245 is a silver engine cooling fan clutch built as a high-quality aftermarket replacement to restore proper cooling performance and fit your vehicle’s HVAC/fan assembly.

This fan clutch from ACDelco Professional is engineered to deliver consistent operation, precise fit, and dependable durability for vehicles that use a viscous, engine-driven fan assembly. Designed and manufactured to meet strict standards, the 15-80245 aims to match the original equipment’s dimensions and engagement characteristics so the fan system runs efficiently when required and freewheels when not.

How does this fan clutch affect engine cooling and HVAC performance?

The clutch controls when the mechanical fan engages, helping the cooling system move air through the radiator only when necessary. Proper engagement reduces unnecessary load on the engine and supports steady cabin heating and cooling by maintaining the correct engine temperature.

• Engages the fan under higher engine or ambient temperatures to increase airflow.
• Disengages at cruise or cool conditions to lower parasitic drag and improve fuel efficiency.
• Maintains stable coolant temps so HVAC performance stays predictable.

Will this ACDelco unit fit my vehicle and replace the original part?

The 15-80245 is offered as a professional aftermarket replacement designed to match OEM fit, form, and function for compatible applications. Always verify fitment with your vehicle’s year, make, model, and engine code or cross-reference the original part number before purchase.

• Manufactured to meet vehicle-specific dimensional and mounting requirements.
• Intended to replace factory fan clutches in approved applications.
• Country of origin: United States—built to ACDelco workmanship standards.

What are the practical benefits of choosing the ACDelco Professional 15-80245?

Choosing this clutch offers dependable engagement characteristics, long-lasting construction, and the reassurance of a recognized aftermarket brand. It’s a pragmatic choice for technicians and DIYers needing a straightforward swap that restores original cooling behavior.

• Premium aftermarket build quality for reliable service life.
• Designed for consistent fan engagement and smooth operation.

How should the fan clutch be installed and maintained?

Installation typically requires basic automotive tools and access to the front of the engine bay; follow vehicle service manual torque specs and safety procedures. Periodic inspection for leaks, shaft play, or unusual noise helps identify clutch wear before it affects cooling performance.

• Replace using manufacturer-recommended procedures and torque values.
• Inspect for bearing play, oil leaks, and secure mounting regularly.
• Swap with the radiator fan and shroud removed if necessary for clearance and safety.
