APIELE's 4-pin 12V 40A fused relay is a compact, SPST normally-open automotive relay with an integrated 30A blade fuse and a heavy-duty 14 AWG harness socket, sold as a 6-pack for plug-and-play vehicle electrical upgrades.
This fused relay kit combines a standard 4-pin SPST switching relay (1NO) with a built-in fuse holder and a robust wiring socket, making it easier to add protected high-current circuits to cars, trucks, and other 12V systems. Each unit is rated to switch up to 40A at 13.5V DC and ships with a 30A blade fuse, metal mounting bracket, and a four-wire socket with heavy 14 AWG hot lead for reliable power delivery. The compact design follows common automotive relay pinouts so it integrates with aftermarket accessories and OEM-style wiring.
The relay separates the high-current circuit from your vehicle's control switch or ECU, while the included blade fuse interrupts excessive current to prevent wiring damage. Because the fuse is installed at the relay socket, it protects both the relay output and downstream wiring without extra fuse holders.
The relay follows the common 4-pin automotive pin numbering: 85 for ground, 86 for trigger/coil positive, 30 for constant power input, and 87 for the switched output. The included four-wire socket makes it simple to attach power, ground, trigger, and the load without soldering or specialty connectors.
Yes — the 40A switching capability at typical automotive voltage allows it to run many motors, actuators, and lighting loads when properly fused. Match the accessory’s continuous and stall currents to the relay rating and use the supplied 30A fuse or a higher-value blade fuse as needed, keeping wiring gauge and temperature in mind.
Each relay comes with a mounting bracket and a removable socket so you can mount relays in a group and swap relays without cutting wires. That arrangement speeds installation and maintenance for fleets, off-road builds, or any project needing multiple protected circuits.
Who is this for: This APIELE fused relay pack is aimed at DIY mechanics, automotive electricians, and vehicle modders who need reliable, protected switching for mid-current accessories. It's useful for workshop wiring, RV or marine 12V systems, alarm and actuator installations, and anyone wanting an OEM-like relay socket with integrated fuse protection for safer, cleaner wiring runs.
Q: Can I replace the 30A fuse with a different rating?
A: Yes. Use a fuse suited to your accessory’s continuous and startup current. Don't exceed relay wiring limits and ensure wiring gauge matches the chosen fuse.
Q: Is the wiring socket removable for relay replacement?
A: The relay plugs into a removable four-wire socket and can be replaced without cutting wires, simplifying maintenance.
