ARANA Rear Hatch Struts for Toyota 4Runner 2010-2023, 2-Pc Set — Direct-Fit, Corrosion-Resistant

ARANA Rear Hatch Struts are a direct-fit, heavy-duty replacement set designed to restore smooth, reliable tailgate lift and hold for Toyota 4Runner models from 2010 through 2023.

If your 4Runner's rear hatch no longer stays open or lifts sluggishly, these two ARANA gas struts are built as an affordable OEM-style replacement. Manufactured from high-carbon Grade 45 steel with multi-layer chrome plating and premium hydraulic fluid, they resist corrosion and maintain pressure across extreme temperatures. The set replaces factory part numbers commonly used across Base, Limited, Nightshade, SR5, Sport, TRD, Trail and Venture trims, and installs in minutes with basic tools.

How do these struts improve my 4Runner's hatch performance?

These replacement struts restore the original lift force and holding power lost to worn factory units. Improved hydraulic seals and wear-resistant fluid reduce leak risk and maintain consistent pressure through thousands of cycles, so the hatch opens smoothly and stays securely open for loading and unloading.

• Restores reliable lift and hold for heavy rear hatch lids
• Sealed hydraulic design to prevent pressure loss
• Chrome-plated piston resists corrosion and wear
• Rated for 50,000+ compression cycles for long life

Will these fit my Toyota 4Runner model year and trim?

ARANA rear hatch struts are made to match the fit and length specifications of 2010–2023 Toyota 4Runner models across common trims. Before ordering, compare your original part numbers with the OEM numbers listed to confirm compatibility and avoid incorrect fits.

• Compatible with Base, Limited, Nightshade, SR5, Sport, TRD, Trail, Venture
• Check OEM part numbers: 689070W090A, 689070W091A, 689070W100, and others
• Simple verification prevents returns and fitment issues
• Designed as direct-fit replacements—no modifications required

How hard is installation, and what tools do I need?

Installation is straightforward and typically takes about five minutes per strut for most DIYers. The job usually requires only a flat-head screwdriver to release two retaining clips; no special tools, welding, or mechanic skills are necessary.

• Quick 5-minute install per strut for most users
• Only basic tools needed: screwdriver or small pry tool
• Push-pin style ball sockets for easy swap-out
• Instructions or quick guides available if needed

How do these struts hold up in different climates and heavy use?

Built for all-weather resilience, ARANA struts use premium anti-wear hydraulic oil and chrome-plated 45# high-carbon steel to function reliably from bitter cold to intense heat. The seal and plating system reduces oxidation and leakage, keeping lift performance steady through seasonal temperature swings and frequent opening cycles.

• Operates in extreme temperatures from -40°F to 110°F
• Mirror chrome plating reduces rust and surface wear
• Hydraulic fluid designed for leak resistance and longevity
• Engineered for years of everyday abuse and 50,000+ cycles
