AUGREX 12V RV Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED Halogen — 60W PWM High-Side Control, Compact ABS Housing

The AUGREX 12V RV Dimmer is a compact toggle/slider switch that provides smooth, PWM-based brightness control for up to 60W of dimmable LED, halogen, and incandescent lighting in vehicles and boats.

Designed for 12V DC systems, this dimmer switch combines a rugged ABS housing with a simple-to-use control interface and clear wiring instructions. It works with LED bulbs, halogens, incandescent lamps, and LED strip lighting, making it a versatile retrofit or replacement component for RVs, campers, trucks, marine craft, and custom 12V installations. The unit uses high-side dimming and pulse-width modulation (PWM) to adjust brightness precisely while minimizing flicker on compatible lamps.

How does the AUGREX dimmer control lighting brightness?

The dimmer uses PWM (pulse-width modulation) on the high side of the circuit to vary how long the light receives power each cycle, which changes perceived brightness without altering voltage. This technique gives a stable dimming curve and helps reduce flicker on many dimmable LED fixtures when used within the specified load range.

• PWM high-side dimming for smooth brightness changes
• 60W maximum load at 12V DC (suitable for multiple small LED fixtures or single halogen/incandescent loads)
• Designed to work with dimmable LEDs, halogen, incandescent, and LED strips

Is the AUGREX dimmer easy to install in an RV or boat?

Yes — the unit is built for straightforward installation with clear wiring instructions and standard 12V connections. Whether you’re a DIYer or a professional installer, the compact housing and common terminal layout make panel mounting and wire routing simple.

• Compact ABS body fits typical switch panels and openings
• Clear wiring guide and labeled terminals reduce installation errors
• Works with existing 12V wiring harnesses in vehicles and marine vessels

Will this dimmer withstand travel and marine conditions?

The AUGREX dimmer is built with durable ABS construction to resist vibration and everyday wear found in mobile environments. While not a sealed waterproof product, it’s robust enough for interior cabin or protected helm installations in RVs, trucks, and boats.

• Durable ABS enclosure resists shocks and vibration
• Suitable for interior vehicle and protected marine use
• Designed for long-term performance in mobile applications

What controls and interface does the switch offer?

The unit provides a tactile toggle or slider-style control that’s intuitive to operate while driving or onboard. The interface gives fast on/off switching plus smooth manual adjustment so you can set the lighting level easily for tasks, ambiance, or night use.

• Tactile toggle/slider control for quick adjustments
• Manual dimming lets you fine-tune light levels without menus
• Clear on/off action plus variable brightness in one compact unit

Who is this for: The AUGREX 12V RV Dimmer is intended for RV owners, van lifers, boaters, truck drivers, and hobbyists who need an affordable, easy-to-install dimming solution for 12V lighting circuits. It’s a good match for anyone replacing a basic switch with variable control, upgrading interior lighting to be dimmable, or adding adjustable LED strips and fixtures in mobile or small-space projects. Avoid using this unit beyond its 60W rating and check bulb compatibility for best dimming performance with LED products.
