BlueSeal A/C Stop Leak is a professional-grade, non-polymer sealant formulated for R-1234yf systems that bonds under pressure to seal slow refrigerant leaks in metal and rubber components.
If your vehicle’s air conditioning loses cold performance after a few months and needs repeated recharging, this targeted treatment offers a practical alternative to a full system tear-down. The mineral oil–based formula works with R-1234yf refrigerant circuits to create seals at typical leak sites while avoiding solid residues that can obstruct expansion valves or recovery machines. Each 1.25oz bottle treats one vehicle and ships with a built-in UV dye for fast visual leak detection under black light.
The product uses a non-polymer mineral oil chemistry that reacts when exposed to oxygen under normal system pressure, forming a flexible bond at leak points rather than depositing hard solids. Because it does not rely on polymers or particulate fillers, there’s minimal risk of blockages in sensitive parts like TXVs or orifices. Independent lab testing shows a high success rate on systems with modest annual refrigerant loss.
The formula is designed to travel through the entire refrigerant loop so it can reach common failure points where leaks originate. It is compatible with metal surfaces and typical rubber components, helping to stop refrigerant loss from both mechanical breaches and perished seals. The product also helps condition dried or aging rubber seals to reduce the chance of repeat leaks.
BlueSeal is formulated specifically for R-1234yf systems and must not be used in R-134a vehicles. The mineral oil chemistry is safe for metal and rubber A/C internals, but correct identification of the refrigerant type is essential. Use the bottle’s single-vehicle dosage and follow recommended service practices; large or rapidly leaking systems may require professional diagnostics and repair.
Every bottle contains a professional-grade UV tracer so you can visually locate leaks that are too large for sealant alone to fix. After adding the product, run the A/C and inspect components with a black light; the dye highlights leak paths quickly, saving time during troubleshooting. That eliminates the need to buy a separate leak detection dye for most jobs.
Who this is for: BlueSeal A/C Stop Leak is best suited for vehicle owners, fleet managers, used-car dealers, and professional technicians dealing with intermittent refrigerant loss in R-1234yf systems. It’s intended as a single-vehicle, repair-oriented product for systems losing modest amounts of refrigerant annually; apply when leaks are slow or intermittent. For large breaches or structural A/C failures, combine diagnostic dye detection with mechanical repair or consult a professional service.
Q: Can I use BlueSeal in R-134a systems?
A: No. This formula is designed only for R-1234yf systems and should not be used in R-134a vehicles.
Q: Will this product clog my expansion valve or recovery equipment?
A: No. The non-polymer mineral oil formulation is made to avoid solids that can block expansion valves or recovery machines.
