Bosch QuietCast Ceramic Disc Brake Pads Front — Quiet, Low-Dust OE-Style Replacement

BOSCH BC1280 QuietCast front ceramic disc brake pads are a premium replacement set engineered to deliver quiet operation, strong stopping power, and reduced dust with OE-style fit and corrosion-resistant durability.

Built on Bosch's decades-long experience in braking systems, the QuietCast BC1280 pads pair a proprietary ceramic friction formulation with Molded Shim Technology and powder-coated backing plates. This combination targets a quieter ride, predictable braking feel, and extended service life compared with many generic aftermarket pads. The set ships with pads for one axle (two wheels), and includes hardware and synthetic lubricant where applicable for a straightforward installation.

How do these pads reduce noise during braking?

The BC1280 uses Bosch’s Molded Shim Technology (MST) and multilayer rubber-core shims pre-attached to the pad backing. These engineered shims absorb and damp vibrations that normally cause squeal, while the precise bonding reduces loose movement that amplifies sound.

• Pre-attached multilayer rubber-core shims for vibration damping
• Firm bond between shim and steel to prevent rattle
• Chamfers and slots that minimize vibration transfer to the caliper

What performance can I expect from the ceramic friction material?

Bosch formulated the QuietCast ceramic compound to balance stopping power, pedal feel, and low dust output. You’ll notice consistent braking performance across normal driving conditions and reduced wheel soiling compared with many semi-metallic pads.

• Ceramic compound tuned for stable friction and feel
• Lower brake dust for cleaner wheels and easier maintenance
• Designed for predictable engagement at everyday temperatures

How does Bosch enhance pad longevity and corrosion resistance?

The BC1280 pads feature powder-coated backing plates and OE-style design details to resist rust and maintain fit over time. That protective coating, combined with engineering for correct pad-to-caliper contact, helps preserve service life and consistent performance.

• Powder-coated steel backing plate for rust protection
• OE-style slots and chamfers to reduce uneven wear
• Included synthetic lubricant for sliding interfaces where applicable

Will these pads fit my vehicle and what’s included in the set?

BC1280 is manufactured to match OE-style dimensions for select front-axle applications; compatibility depends on vehicle model, trim, and year. The box contains one axle’s worth of pads (two wheels) plus a hardware kit and synthetic lubricant when applicable, so you’ll have what’s needed for a standard pad replacement.

• Includes pads for one axle (2 wheels)
• Hardware kit and lubricant included where applicable
• Check vehicle fitment by year, make, model, and trim before purchase

Who is this for: Drivers who want a direct OE-style replacement that prioritizes quiet braking, reduced dust, and long-term corrosion resistance. The Bosch BC1280 QuietCast front ceramic pads are well suited for owners of compatible Acura, Honda, and other vehicles seeking an upgrade from worn factory pads or a premium aftermarket option with proven engineering pedigree.
