How quickly does this portable freezer cool and freeze?

The CR22 uses compressor refrigeration to deliver rapid temperature reductions and reliable freezing without ice. From room temperature it can reach 32°F in about 15 minutes and can drop near -5°F in roughly 50 minutes under normal conditions, letting you freeze or chill goods on short trips.

• Compressor system for steady, fast cooling
• 15 minutes to 32°F from 77°F (typical)
• ~50 minutes to -5°F from 77°F (typical)
• 23‑quart internal capacity fits meal prep, groceries, or beverages

What are the power needs and energy efficiency on long drives?

This fridge is built for vehicle use (12/24V DC) and home/shore power with the included AC cord. In ECO mode it draws under 45W; even at MAX it consumes about 60W, which is far below 1 kWh per day thanks to intelligent cycling.

• Operates on 12V/24V DC for cars, trucks, RVs, vans, and boats
• ECO mode keeps average power consumption under 45W
• MAX cooling rated 60W for intense demands
• Includes battery‑safe settings to avoid draining vehicle batteries

Is it durable, quiet, and suitable for off‑road use?

The CR22 is engineered for mobile environments with a shock‑proof design and the ability to operate at up to a 30° incline. Noise is kept around 45 dB, so it won’t interfere with sleep or conversation during trips.

• Shock‑resistant construction for uneven roads and off‑road travel
• Operates safely up to a 30° tilt
• Low noise level (~45 dB) for quiet camping or overnight use
• Lightweight at about 22.27 lb for easier lifting and placement

How does the battery protection work and what extras are included?

The CR22 features a 3‑level voltage battery monitor allowing you to set the shutdown voltage to protect your vehicle battery. The box includes a DC power cord for vehicle use, a 6.56 ft AC power cord for household or shore power, and a user manual; BougeRV offers two years of technical support for assistance or troubleshooting.
