BUFFING HERO 3‑pc 5" Foam Polishing Pad Set — Hook-and-Loop Buffing Pads for Cutting, Polishing & Waxing

This 3-piece polishing pad set from BUFFING HERO is built for hobbyists and pros who need versatile foam buffers for a random orbital sander or dual-action polisher. The kit contains three different pads formulated to handle compounding, finishing polish, and wax application so you can move from defect removal to gloss restoration without changing systems. Durable German-made foam plus a reinforced interlayer and secure hook-and-loop backing give stable performance across repeated uses.

How do these pads improve results compared to standard foam?

The BUFFING HERO pads use a dense, long-wearing foam and a special binding interlayer that preserves shape under the forces produced by orbital tools. That combination keeps contact consistent across the pad face so compounds spread evenly and polishing is predictable.

• Reinforced interlayer prevents delamination and pad collapse.
• High-quality German foam maintains resilience through multiple jobs.
• Flat pad profile gives full surface contact for even material distribution.

Which pad in the set should I use for cutting, polishing, and waxing?

The set is color-coded for common tasks: the green pad is for compounding and oxidation removal, the yellow pad is intended for polishing and reducing swirl marks, and the black pad is a finishing/waxing pad for applying sealants or wax. Use them progressively from heaviest to lightest action.

• Green: initial compounding and light scratch removal.
• Yellow: refining the surface and improving clarity.
• Black: applying waxes or sealants and producing final gloss.

Will these pads fit my orbital sander or DA polisher?

Each pad uses a hook-and-loop (Velcro-style) backing that mates with standard 5-inch backing plates on most random orbital sanders and dual-action polishers. They are compatible with many popular brands and can be swapped quickly during a job.

• Designed for 5-inch/125 mm hook-and-loop backing plates.
• Works with random orbital sanders, DA polishers, and many branded tools.
• Quick attachment and removal to speed workflow.

How do I care for and prolong pad life?

The foam pads are washable and reusable; removing residue between uses preserves cutting and finishing performance. Gently clean with pad detergent or warm water, spin-dry if possible, and store flat to retain shape.

• Rinse with warm water and mild cleaner; air dry fully before reuse.
• Avoid aggressive solvents that can degrade foam over time.
• Inspect the interlayer and loop backing; replace when worn or deformed.

Who is this for: This BUFFING HERO 3-piece pad set is aimed at car detailers, DIY enthusiasts, and woodworkers who want a compact, durable collection of pads to handle compounding, polishing, and waxing without swapping pad types mid-job. It's useful for anyone using a 5-inch hook-and-loop backing plate on a random orbital sander or dual-action polisher who needs reliable foam that holds shape and performs consistently across multiple projects.
