Calvana Windshield Urethane Primer 1 fl.oz (30ml) Black — Fast-Drying, UV-Resistant Adhesion Promoter with Gloves & Applicators

Calvana 1 fl.oz Windshield Primer is a fast-drying urethane primer that improves bond strength between automotive glass and polyurethane sealants while providing UV resistance.

This compact primer is formulated to help adhesives adhere when replacing or repairing windshields, side glass, and encapsulated glass components. Packaged with two applicator sticks and a pair of nitrile gloves, the 30 ml bottle is built for both professional shops and skilled DIYers who need a reliable adhesion promoter that dries quickly without an activator. Its black, UV-resistant finish can also function as a blackout primer, helping protect exposed edges and prevent premature degradation.

How quickly does this primer work and what drying time should I expect?

The Calvana primer uses a single-component formula designed for rapid handling. In typical conditions it becomes touch-dry within minutes and is ready for urethane adhesive application in about 10 minutes, streamlining replacement jobs without long wait periods.

• Single-component — no separate activator required
• Touch-dry fast to shorten job cycle time
• Ready for adhesive application in about 10 minutes
• Ideal for same-day windshield installs

Will this primer improve long-term adhesion and resistance?

This urethane primer promotes stronger bonds between glass and polyurethane adhesives by preparing the surface for glue contact. It includes UV-resistant properties that help shield the adhesive edge and glass perimeter from light-induced breakdown.

• Enhances mechanical and chemical adhesion for urethane sealants
• UV resistance reduces exposure-related deterioration
• Can act as a blackout layer on edge glass to hide and protect sealant beads
• Helps prevent corrosion on pinchweld scratches before adhesive application

What surfaces and repair scenarios is this product suitable for?

Calvana primer is made for automotive glass bonding tasks and works on windshields, back glass, door glass, and encapsulated glass. It also performs well on prepared pinchweld metal and certain PVC components where adhesion and corrosion protection are needed.

• Windshield replacement and reglazing jobs
• Priming encapsulated glass and PVC trim parts
• Touching up minor pinchweld scratches to prevent rust
• Compatibility with polyurethane adhesive kits for full install workflows

What is included and how does the kit support installation?

The product comes as a practical kit: a 1 fl.oz (30 ml) bottle of primer, two 5.9-inch applicator sticks for precise daubing, and a pair of nitrile gloves for safe handling. These accessories make on-vehicle application faster and cleaner for both pros and DIYers.

• 30 ml bottle sized for single or small multi-job use
• Two long applicators for accurate placement into edges and pinchwelds
• Nitrile gloves protect hands from contamination and primer exposure
• Compact packaging fits easily into a glass repair toolkit
