Camco Power Grip Offset Adapter — 30A to 50A RV electrical adapter, ergonomic grip, cord-stress relief

Camco's Power Grip Electrical Offset Adapter converts a 30-amp pedestal to accept 50-amp RV plugs while easing cord stress with an offset body and an ergonomic grip.

Connecting a 50-amp RV to a campsite that only provides a 30-amp outlet can be awkward and stressful on both the cord and the pedestal. The Camco Power Grip Offset Adapter (model 55133) solves that by redirecting the plug angle away from the receptacle and adding a molded handle for safe, controlled hookups. Compact and purpose-built for RV use, this adapter keeps connections secure without adding bulk to your storage compartments.

How does the offset design protect my RV and campsite pedestal?

The offset profile changes the cable's exit angle so the mating plug doesn't pull directly outward from the receptacle. That reduces torque and wear on both the power pedestal and the RV cord connection, lowering the chance of loosened contacts or bent pins over time.

• Reduces mechanical stress on the outlet and RV plug
• Helps prevent bent prongs and damaged receptacles
• Maintains a straighter cord routing for safer setups

Will this adapter fit the cords and accessories I already own?

The adapter is made specifically to mate a 50-amp RV plug to a 30-amp source and works with standard 50-amp extension cords and "dogbone" style adaptors. It is compatible with common RV power accessories so you don’t need special cables to use it.

• Accepts standard 50-amp RV male plugs
• Mates to common 30-amp campground pedestals
• Works alongside existing 50A extension cords and adaptors

How easy is it to plug in and stow this adapter?

The molded Power Grip handle provides a secure surface for pulling and aligning the adapter, which makes connecting and disconnecting faster and less strenuous. At roughly 6 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/2", the adapter is compact enough to tuck into a storage bay or tool box without taking up much room.

• Ergonomic handle for simpler hookup and removal
• Compact dimensions save storage space
• Lightweight design suitable for quick on-site use

Is this adapter safe for regular RV use?

Designed for RV electrical connections, the Power Grip Offset Adapter focuses on mechanical relief and secure mating rather than altering electrical specifications. Use it as intended to adapt plug sizes; always follow campground rules and inspect connectors before use to ensure safe operation.

• Meets typical mechanical needs for RV hookups
• Use only as a physical adapter between 30A outlets and 50A plugs
• Regular inspection recommended for wear or damage

Who is this for: The Camco Power Grip Offset Adapter is ideal for RV owners who frequently encounter 30-amp camp pedestals but travel with 50-amp service; it's also useful for weekenders who want a durable, easy-to-use solution for temporary power connections. If you value reduced strain on plugs and pedestals, a compact storage-friendly accessory, and a better grip for repeated hookups, this adapter is a practical addition to your RV toolkit.
