Capri Tools portable oil drain pan 2-gallon Black — HDPE, anti-splash lip for clean pours

The Capri Tools CP21024 is a compact, 2-gallon portable oil drain pan designed to catch and pour automotive fluids cleanly and reliably.

Built from tough, chemical-resistant high-density polyethylene, this black Capri Tools drain pan simplifies small oil and coolant jobs by providing a spill-reducing opening, molded carry handle, and easy-to-clean surface. It’s intended for home mechanics, fleet maintenance, or hobbyists who need a lightweight, reusable container for draining, transporting, and disposing of used liquids up to 2 gallons (8 liters).

How does this pan make fluid changes cleaner and faster?

The CP21024 centers on a wide receiving area and an anti-splash lip to reduce drips and leaks when fluids are poured. Its single-piece construction eliminates seams where grime or leaks can form, so cleanup after a job is quick.

• Large opening collects fluid directly from drain points
• Anti-splash lip controls flow while pouring
• Molded handle provides steady grip for transport and pouring
• Smooth HDPE resists staining and rinses clean

Is the material durable enough for automotive chemicals?

Yes—the pan is molded from high-density polyethylene chosen for its chemical and solvent resistance, which helps it withstand regular exposure to oil, antifreeze, and similar fluids. The sturdy material also resists cracking and warping under normal workshop conditions.

• HDPE resists common automotive fluids and solvents
• Rigid construction stands up to repeated use
• Won’t corrode like metal alternatives
• Easy to clean with water or mild detergent

How much liquid can it hold and how do I pour without spilling?

The pan holds up to 2 gallons (8 liters), a practical size for most small oil changes and top-off jobs. When it’s time to pour, use the molded handle and anti-splash lip together to control the stream, and drain into a larger disposal container or recycling jug.

• 2-gallon (8-liter) total capacity for multiple small jobs
• Molded handle gives steady two-handed control if needed
• Anti-splash lip minimizes drips during transfer
• Fits easily into standard waste oil receptacles for disposal

How should I store and maintain the CP21024?

Store the pan empty and upright in a dry area to prevent trapped liquids from degrading the plastic or attracting debris. Rinse with water and mild soap after use; for stubborn residue, a gentle brush cleans the interior without scratching the surface.

• Keep empty and dry for long-term storage
• Rinse and air-dry to prevent odors and buildup
• Avoid strong solvents for cleaning to preserve plastic life
• Compact size stacks or tucks under shelving when not in use

Who is this for: The Capri Tools CP21024 is suited to DIYers, mobile mechanics, and light shop use where a compact, reliable fluid collector is needed. If you perform routine oil or coolant changes, work on small engines, or need a reusable container to move used liquids for recycling, this 2-gallon drain pan offers a low-cost, durable solution without the bulk of larger pits or drums.
