cekay Extension Pole for J-Pole Mount 1.5" x 16.5" - Adds 16.5" Height & Improved Clearance

CEKAY's 1.5 x 16.5 in extension pole is a drop-in add-on that raises and extends a 1.5" J-pole mount to improve antenna placement and clearance while including the coupling hardware needed for installation.

If your antenna setup needs a modest boost in height or a bit more horizontal clearance from the mount base, this 16.5" CEKAY extension pole is designed to fit 1.5" diameter J-pole mounts and ship ready with the coupling parts you need. It’s a simple, rugged length of pole that joins to existing CEKAY J-pole systems to fine-tune the antenna’s position for better line-of-sight and fewer obstructions.

How will this extension improve my antenna placement?

By adding vertical length and moving the curved J-pipe farther from the mounting point, the extension gives antennas more room to clear rooflines, gutters, and nearby obstructions. That extra elevation and offset can simplify aiming and allow the antenna to sit in a less turbulent airflow.

• Adds 16.5 inches of vertical height to the J-pole assembly
• Increases horizontal clearance between mount base and J-curve
• Helps avoid nearby obstructions for clearer line-of-sight

Is this extension compatible with my existing CEKAY J pole mount?

This extension is made for CEKAY J-pole mounts that accept a 1.5" diameter section. It connects to other CEKAY sections with the included coupling hardware and is compatible with CEKAY’s common lengths such as 17", 35", and 51" options for flexible configurations.

• Fits mounts specified for 1.5" diameter tubing
• Works alongside CEKAY 17", 35", and 51" sections for mixed setups
• Includes coupling hardware for secure joints

What comes in the package and how do I find the small parts?

The package contains the 16.5" extension pole plus coupling hardware (two nuts and bolts) sealed in a small plastic bag. The nuts and bolts are often tucked inside one of the pole sections to prevent loss, so check the hollow interior before assuming anything is missing.

• One 16.5" extension pole section
• Two nuts and bolts for coupling, sealed in plastic
• Inspect the inside of each pole section to locate the sealed hardware

How durable and easy to install is the CEKAY extension?

The extension is built as a straightforward metal pole designed to mate with CEKAY J-pole components using standard coupling hardware, providing a reliable mechanical joint. Installation requires common hand tools and basic mounting know-how—no special parts or adjustments are necessary beyond fastening the provided bolts and nuts.

• Made for reliable mechanical coupling with standard tools
• Rugged tubular construction for outdoor mounting applications
• Simple bolt-on assembly to existing CEKAY sections

Who this is for: installers and hobbyists who already use CEKAY 1.5" J-pole mounts and want a compact, bolt-on way to raise or offset their antenna without changing the entire support system. It’s ideal for situations that need a modest increase in height or improved clearance from roof edges, gutters, or other nearby obstacles, and for anyone who prefers to maintain the same compatible CEKAY components across their mounting hardware.
