Chemical Guys V32 Heavy Cut Optical Grade Cutting Compound, 16 oz — Water-Based, Extended Work Time

Chemical Guys V32 Optical Grade Extreme Cutting Compound is a heavy-cut, water-based abrasive polish engineered to remove deep defects and 1200–1500 grit sanding marks while leaving a clean, refinish-ready surface.

The V32 hybrid compound combines optical-grade micro abrasives with extended work time to tackle severe paint damage without relying on silicones or fillers. Designed to be body-shop safe and VOC compliant, this 16 oz formula works on both ceramic and conventional clear coats, delivering aggressive cutting power while preparing the panel for final polishing steps.

How does V32 remove deep scratches and sanding marks?

V32 uses precision-engineered micro abrasive particles that abrade damaged clear coat quickly and consistently. Instead of masking defects, the formulation physically removes 1200–1500 grit sanding scratches and heavy swirls to reveal a smooth substrate ready for refinement.

• Optical-grade micro abrasives designed for fast material removal
• Removes 1200–1500 grit sanding marks without fillers
• Works effectively on both ceramic and conventional clear coats

Will V32 work on ceramic and scratch-resistant clear coats?

Yes — V32 was engineered to be effective on modern scratch-resistant and ceramic clear coats as well as traditional finishes. Its hybrid water-based formula is OEM-friendly and formulated specifically to cut through more durable layers while remaining body shop safe.

• Water-based, VOC-compliant hybrid compound
• Body shop safe and OEM-approved for many applications
• Formulated without silicone or fillers for permanent correction

How long can I work the product on the panel?

Unlike fast-drying heavy cuts, V32 is formulated for extended work time so technicians have longer control during correction. The slower working window allows for fewer passes and more consistent results, especially on large panels or intricate contours.

• Extended working time for controlled correction
• Reduces the number of passes needed for defect removal
• Maintains performance during longer polishing cycles

What should I expect after using V32 before final polishing?

After V32, the paint surface will be free of heavy defects and sanding scratches, with no filling or masking agents left behind. The compound prepares the surface for subsequent fine polishes and paint protection, providing a consistent foundation for achieving high gloss.

• Removes defects without silicone or fillers
• Prepares a smooth surface for finishing polishes
• Compatible with downstream sealants, waxes, and ceramic coatings
