Dupli-Color Wheel Paint spray — Matte Bronze 12 oz, durable chip-resistant enamel finish

Dupli-Color Wheel Paint in Matte Bronze is a 12 oz enamel aerosol formulated to give wheels a durable, chip-resistant finish that tolerates heat and weather.

Whether you’re refreshing alloy rims, steel wheels or plastic hubcaps, this matte-bronze spray provides a hard-wearing coating designed to stand up to everyday road use. The formula dries quickly into an enamel surface that resists fading, chipping, and common automotive chemicals, and it tolerates intermittent temperatures up to 250°F (121°C). Use it on OEM or aftermarket wheels and center caps to restore a uniform look or to change color without costly replacement.

How does this paint protect wheels from wear and road chemicals?

The Dupli-Color enamel formula creates a tough outer layer that helps prevent chips and degradation from salt, brake dust, and common cleaning products. Its chemical resistance reduces surface etching and discoloration, keeping wheels looking newer for longer.

• Durable enamel finish resists cracking and peeling
• Formulated to withstand oils, road salts, and cleaners
• Protects against flaking under normal driving conditions

Can I use this spray on different wheel materials?

Yes — this aerosol is suitable for aluminum and steel wheels, plus plastic hubcaps and center caps. Proper surface prep is essential: clean, de-grease, and scuff the substrate for best adhesion and longevity.

• Compatible with aluminum alloys and stamped steel rims
• Adheres to plastic hubcaps when properly prepped
• Works on OEM and aftermarket wheel surfaces after sanding/primer

What performance should I expect for heat and durability?

The coating resists intermittent heat exposure up to 250°F (121°C), suitable for normal driving and light braking conditions. It’s engineered to dry quickly to the touch and form a resilient layer that resists chipping from road debris.

• Withstands intermittent temperatures up to 250°F (121°C)
• Fast-drying enamel that speeds project completion
• Designed to minimize cracking and long-term fading

How should I apply the spray for best, longest-lasting results?

Start by thoroughly cleaning wheels and removing grease, brake dust, and loose paint. Lightly sand glossy surfaces, apply primer if needed, and spray in light, even coats from the recommended distance to avoid runs.

• Clean wheels with degreaser; remove loose paint and contaminants
• Sand glossy areas and use a compatible primer for best adhesion
• Apply several light coats, allowing recommended dry times between passes

It’s ideal if you need a quick, durable cosmetic restore for aluminum or steel rims and plastic hubcaps without professional repainting or wheel replacement.
