ECCPP Jeep Grand Cherokee Shock Absorbers Set of 4 (1999–2004) — Gas-Charged, Direct-Fit Front & Rear Replacement

ECCPP 4-piece gas shock absorber kit for 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee provides matched front and rear damping to restore ride control and reduce bounce.

This set includes four gas-charged shock absorbers engineered to fit Jeep Grand Cherokee model years 1999 through 2004 (OE references 344342 / 344341 / 37162 / 37161). Built from reinforced steel with corrosion-resistant coatings and Japanese-made oil seals, these shocks are intended as a direct-replacement kit for owners who want a balanced front-and-rear refresh without modifying the vehicle’s original mounting points.

How do these ECCPP shocks improve everyday driving?

These gas shocks restore damping consistency lost to aging or worn units, helping the vehicle track straighter and respond more predictably to bumps and cornering. Because they are gas-charged and use quality oil seals, they resist foaming and maintain performance under repeated use.

• Matched front and rear set for consistent handling feel
• Gas-charged design reduces aeration and fade
• Reinforced steel body with chrome/zinc coating for corrosion resistance
• Japanese oil seals for smoother, quieter operation

Will these shock absorbers fit my Grand Cherokee without extra parts?

These shocks are designed as direct-fit replacements for the listed years and OE reference numbers; they match the original buckle holes so you can swap them in place without disassembling the existing strut assembly. Note the kit does not include strut mounts, coil springs, or rubber bump stops—those remain reusable when still in good condition.

• Direct-fit mounting to original attachment points
• Check year, make, model, and trim before purchase
• Does not include mount, spring, or rubber buffer components
• May arrive in two packages to protect the shocks during shipping

How durable and serviceable are ECCPP shock absorbers?

The construction favors longevity: thick steel tubing with protective coating and sealed internals reduce corrosion and wear. Regular inspections of mounts and bushings help maximize service life, but the shocks themselves are built to resist common failure modes like oil leakage or seal degradation.

• Thick steel and protective chrome/zinc plating
• High-quality oil seals to reduce leakage and noise
• Tested at manufacture for consistent stroke and damping
• Packaged carefully; shipping in two boxes sometimes to avoid damage

How simple is installation for a DIYer or mechanic?

Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with basic suspension work: the bolt patterns and buckle holes line up with the vehicle’s factory points, so you generally remove the old shocks and bolt the new units in place. Torque to factory specs and inspect surrounding hardware—replacing worn mounts or bushings during installation improves results.

• Designed to remove and replace without strut assembly modification
• Fits original mounting locations for quick installation
• Recommended to torque to manufacturer specifications
• Inspect mounts, springs, and buffers while installing

Who is this for: This ECCPP four-shock kit suits Jeep Grand Cherokee owners (1999–2004) who need an economical, direct-replacement refresh for both front and rear dampers. It’s aimed at DIY enthusiasts and professional mechanics seeking matched performance across the axle set, especially when original shocks show wear, leaking, or reduced control. If you want durable, gas-charged shocks with industry-grade seals and corrosion protection—without replacing springs or mounts—this set is built to meet that need. Always verify vehicle year, trim, and OE reference before ordering to ensure compatibility.
