EVIL ENERGY 2" Resonator Muffler for 2.0" Exhaust Systems — 13.77" Length, Stainless Steel, Drone Reduction

EVIL ENERGY 2" Resonator Muffler is a universal straight-through exhaust resonator with 2.0" inlet and outlet that reduces drone and delivers a deeper, cleaner tone while fitting most 2" exhaust systems.

This compact resonator is built from durable 201 stainless steel with a 430 stainless inner mesh and dense fiberglass packing to absorb unwanted frequencies without overly restricting flow. At 13.77 inches overall and a 3.97-inch body diameter, the unit is sized to install in many custom or replacement exhaust setups where space allows. It accepts 2.0" OD inlet and outlet pipes and can be secured by welding or clamping; professional installation is recommended for best fit and sealing.

How does this resonator change my exhaust sound?

The straight-through design and thick fiberglass packing focus on canceling mid-frequency drone while preserving a low, deep tone. Because it doesn't rely on internal baffling that chokes flow, it retains exhaust flow characteristics important for throttle response.

• Dense fiberglass absorbent targets drone and rasp
• Straight-through core minimizes backpressure
• Double-layer stainless construction reduces vibration and rattling

Will this fit my vehicle's 2" exhaust system?

This resonator is universal for pipes with a 2.0" outside diameter, but you should confirm there is 13.77 inches of linear space plus clearance for clamps or welds. Measure the available section of pipe and consider bends, hangers, and heat-sensitive components before ordering.

• 2.0" OD inlet and outlet—match to pipe size
• 13.77" overall length—check fitment area
• 3.97" body diameter—ensure clearance from chassis or heat shields

What materials and build features affect durability?

The housing uses 201 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and affordability, while an internal 430 stainless mesh supports the fibrous packing. A double-layer stainless design and secure internal packing lower vibration and extend service life when used in typical road conditions.

• 201 stainless housing resists surface corrosion
• 430 stainless inner mesh supports packing and heat tolerance
• Fiberglass fill absorbs sound and dampens vibration

How is the resonator installed and maintained?

Installation can be done by welding the inlet and outlet to the existing exhaust or by using clamps for a removable setup. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct alignment, sealing, and hanger support; occasional inspection for corrosion or packing degradation will help maintain performance.

• Can be welded in place for a permanent joint
• Exhaust clamps allow removable installation
• Inspect periodically for leaks, rust, or packing settling

Who is this for: This EVIL ENERGY resonator is suited for car, truck, or custom motorcycle owners who want to reduce cabin drone and achieve a deeper exhaust note without significant backpressure. It fits DIY fabricators, exhaust shops, and performance enthusiasts who can accommodate a 2.0" OD connection and roughly 14 inches of inline space. If you need a compact, affordable sound-tuning component that preserves flow and is easy to integrate into custom systems, this resonator is a practical choice.
