EVIL ENERGY 3/4" Silicone Heater Hose 5 ft — SAE 20R3, 60 PSI Rated Coolant Line

EVIL ENERGY 3/4" silicone heater hose is a 5-foot, SAE 20R3-compliant coolant and heater line built from braided polyester and silicone to resist wide temperature swings and maintain reliable flow in automotive and heating systems.

This reinforced silicone hose replaces standard rubber heater lines where extended temperature tolerance, longevity, and flexibility matter. It is engineered to endure high heat, low cold, and moderate pressure while remaining compatible with water, coolant, steam, and weak acids or alkalis. The hose is not intended for fuel, alcohol, engine oil, or lubricant service.

What are the exact size and pressure specifications of this heater hose?

The hose has a nominal inner diameter of 3/4" (19 mm) with tight tolerances and an outer diameter of approximately 1-1/16" (27 mm). It is rated for 60 psi working pressure and a 203 psi burst pressure, meeting SAE 20R3 Class A requirements for heater lines.

• Inner diameter: 3/4" (19 mm), tolerance ±0.4 mm
• Outer diameter: 1-1/16" (27 mm), tolerance ±0.4 mm
• Length: 5 feet (factory cut)
• Working pressure: 60 psi; burst pressure: 203 psi

How does the material construction benefit performance and durability?

This hose combines a braided polyester reinforcement layer with silicone inner and outer skins for improved thermal resilience and fatigue life compared with conventional EPDM rubber. The silicone layers resist cracking, hardening, and collapse across wide temperature swings, while the braid helps control expansion under pressure.

• Braided polyester reinforcement reduces elongation and kinking
• Silicone inner and outer layers increase heat and cold tolerance
• Extended service life in repeated thermal cycles

Which fluids and systems is this heater hose suitable for?

Designed for non-fuel applications, it carries coolant, water, steam, and transport gases used in heating systems and automotive cooling circuits. It is suitable for heater cores, radiator return lines, water heaters, and similar low-to-moderate pressure jobs where chemical exposure is limited to weak acids or alkalis.

• Appropriate: coolant, water, steam, transport air
• Not appropriate: alcohols, gasoline, diesel, engine oil, lubricants
• Applies to automotive heating, residential/commercial heaters, and general cooling lines

What temperature and bending limits should I expect when installing?

The hose functions across an industrial temperature band from -67°F to 356°F (-55°C to 180°C), allowing use in cold-start and high-heat environments. Minimum bend radius is 95 mm, so plan routing to avoid tight bends that could kink or stress the braided reinforcement.

• Operating temperature: -67°F to 356°F (-55°C to 180°C)
• Minimum bend radius: 95 mm
• Cut-to-length 5-foot section; use appropriate clamps and smooth fittings

Who this is for: This EVIL ENERGY silicone heater hose is aimed at mechanics, performance vehicle owners, HVAC technicians, and DIYers who need a robust, high-temperature 3/4" line for coolant and heater applications. Choose this hose when you require improved thermal stability and extended service life over standard rubber hoses, provided the application excludes fuels and engine oils.
