GEARCESS RV Power Converter 55A Deck-Mount — 950W, Auto-Detect Three-Stage Charger

GEARCESS WF-8955-AD-MBA is a 55-amp RV power converter and charger that delivers 950W of reliable DC power with automatic battery-type detection and three-stage charging.

Designed as a direct-fit deck-mount replacement for Parallax 7155/7145 centers, this converter supplies steady 13.6 VDC output and intelligent charging for lead-acid and compatible lithium batteries. It combines quiet, demand-driven cooling with multiple protection systems so you can power lights, appliances and onboard electronics safely while traveling or parked.

How does the converter protect my RV battery and electronics?

The WF-8955-AD-MBA uses an auto-detect routine to recognize battery chemistry and then applies the correct charging profile. Built-in safeguards prevent common electrical faults so both battery and devices are better protected over time.

• Auto-detect charging avoids overcharge and undercharge scenarios
• Three-stage charging adjusts bulk, absorption and float phases for battery health
• Overcurrent, overvoltage, short-circuit and high-temperature protections
• Quiet, on-demand cooling fan reduces heat without constant noise

Will this fit my RV electrical system and how easy is installation?

This unit is made to be compatible with WF-8955 and WF-8900-AD series mounts and matches the Parallax 7155/7145 footprint, so it usually installs without rewiring. Mounting requires only two screws and minimal wiring, making field replacement fast for most owners or technicians.

• Direct deck-mount replacement for many factory power centers
• Uses three AC wires and two DC wires — no full system rewiring
• Typical install time around 10 minutes with basic tools
• Includes a manual for step-by-step guidance and wiring diagrams

What are the electrical specifications and performance features?

The converter outputs 55 amps at nominal 13.6 VDC for a maximum rated power near 950 watts and runs on standard 105–130 VAC, 60 Hz input. It supports multiple nominal voltage outputs to meet different battery charging needs while optimizing efficiency.

• Output current: 55 A; rated power: 950 W
• Nominal output voltage: 13.6 VDC; input: 105–130 VAC, 60 Hz
• Automatic three-stage charging suitable for lead-acid and some lithium chemistries
• Upgraded cooling fan runs only when required to keep noise low

How does the unit behave in everyday RV use?

In routine operation the converter provides stable DC power to lights, pumps and electronics while maintaining the battery at optimal charge. Its signal-friendly design minimizes interference with radios and TVs so onboard entertainment remains clear.

• Stable 13.6 V output for consistent appliance performance
• Signal-friendly electronics that do not disrupt radio or TV reception
• Efficient cooling that triggers only under load or temperature rise
• Durable construction for long service life in mobile environments
