Hella Twin Trumpet 12V Horn Kit Red — High/Low Tone, 110 dB with Relay & Bracket

HELLA 007424801 is a twin-trumpet 12V horn kit that delivers a loud, attention-grabbing high/low tone (500Hz/400Hz) for universal automotive and off-road use.

Designed and manufactured with German engineering heritage, the HELLA twin trumpet horn combines a durable metal construction with an aggressive acoustic profile to help ensure your vehicle is heard in busy traffic or on open roads. This kit comes complete with both high- and low-tone trumpets, a relay, mounting brackets and installation hardware so you can fit it to most cars, trucks and utility vehicles quickly.

How loud and what tones does the HELLA twin trumpet produce?

The kit produces two complementary tones — a high 500 Hz trumpet and a low 400 Hz trumpet — that blend into a strong, penetrating sound. Measured peak output is about 110 dB(A), designed to maximize noticeability without complex electronics.

• High tone: 500 Hz for sharp, cutting presence
• Low tone: 400 Hz to add body and depth
• Sound level: approximately 110 dB(A)
• Designed for clear harmonic overlap to be easily heard in traffic noise

What comes in the kit and how simple is installation?

The HELLA 007424801 kit contains everything you need to fit both horns as a single assembly: two trumpet horns, a relay, two mounting brackets and step-by-step instructions. The horns use 6.3 mm flat blade electrical terminals and an M8 screw bracket, allowing a straightforward hardwired or relay-assisted connection to a 12V system.

• Included: 1 high-tone (500 Hz), 1 low-tone (400 Hz), relay, 2 brackets, instructions
• Connections: 6.3 mm flat blade terminals (open/blade type)
• Mounting: M8 screw horn bracket for secure attachment
• Electrical: 12 V, drawing about 6 A total when triggered

Will these horns fit my vehicle and last outdoors?

These trumpets are built for universal application across light vehicles, trucks and many off-road rigs, and HELLA’s manufacturing standards emphasize durability and long-term operation. The robust metal housings and proven acoustic design reflect the brand’s OEM experience and are intended to withstand normal road conditions.
