KOCHCHEMIE Multi Star N — Alkaline Multi-Purpose Cleaner 5L, Phosphate & NTA-Free, Safe on Paint

Multi Star N is a concentrated, phosphate- and NTA-free alkaline pre-cleaner that dissolves road grime, sap, tar and organic residues while remaining safe on paint, glass and wheels.

Designed for professional detailers and informed car owners, KOCHCHEMIE Multi Star N is a flexible, high-dilution cleaner for exterior vehicle surfaces. Its formula uses effective surfactants and corrosion inhibitors to break down stubborn deposits—bird splatter, tree sap, brake dust, insects and road film—without aggressive acids or chelating NTA. The product is supplied in a 5‑liter container and works with hand sprayers, pressure washers and foam cannons.

How concentrated is Multi Star N and how should I dilute it?

Multi Star N is highly concentrated so you choose strength by the task. For heavy contamination like wheel grime or thick sap use stronger mixes; for general pre-washing use lighter dilutions.

• Wheel cleaning: approximately 1:3 dilution (product:water) for stubborn brake dust and rim contaminants.
• Bug, tar and heavy deposits: around 1:10 to 1:20 depending on residue age and thickness.
• General pre-cleaning and rinsing: up to 1:50 for light road film before shampoo or polish steps.
• Always test an inconspicuous area at higher concentrations on delicate finishes.

Will it harm paint, anodized aluminum, glass or different wheel types?

The formula includes corrosion inhibitors and is engineered to be safe on common exterior surfaces when used as directed. Sensitive surfaces benefit from correct dilution and prompt rinsing.

• Paint and clearcoat: safe at recommended dilutions; avoid prolonged dwell at full strength.
• Anodized aluminum: special inhibitors reduce risk of damage when rinsed thoroughly.
• Glass and headlight lenses: effective at removing bugs and film when rinsed to avoid streaks.
• All wheel types: suitable for steel, alloy and lacquered finishes; test on unknown coatings first.

What application methods work best with Multi Star N?

Multi Star N adapts to several application tools depending on the job scale and desired contact time. Choose the method that gives even coverage and allows sufficient dwell before rinsing.

• Hand sprayer: ideal for spot treatments and smaller vehicles; enables targeted coverage.
• Foam cannon: creates clinging foam for long dwell time on vertical panels and heavy soiling.
• Pressure washer: effective for rapid removal and rinsing after dwell; use appropriate nozzle and pressure.
• Brushes or soft mitts: use gently on wheels or textured areas to help loosen compacted grime.

How quickly does it remove road contaminants and are there safety steps?

Multi Star N works rapidly on organic and road-derived deposits but speed depends on contamination severity and ambient temperature. Follow simple safety and handling steps for best results.

• Typical removal: many deposits soften within minutes, enabling easy rinsing or light agitation.
• For older or baked-on residues repeat application or raise dilution strength carefully.
• Wear gloves and eye protection; avoid breathing spray mist and keep out of reach of children.
• Rinse thoroughly after dwell time, especially on metal and painted surfaces.

Who is this for? Multi Star N is built for professional detailers, workshop technicians and meticulous vehicle owners who need a single, versatile pre-cleaner for multiple exterior tasks. If you regularly tackle brake dust, tree sap, insect residue, tar or heavy road film and want a high-dilution, phosphate- and NTA-free solution that pairs with foam cannons, pressure washers or hand sprayers, this product delivers the performance and surface protection expected from a specialist brand like KOCHCHEMIE.
