LAFORMO 24-inch Stainless Steel Mudflap Weights Pair (2) – Universal with Backing Plate and Hardware

LAFORMO 24" stainless steel mudflap weights are a universal, heavy-duty solution that stabilizes and straightens 24" mud flaps while adding corrosion-resistant polish to your vehicle's rear.

These two mudflap weights are engineered to fit any mud flap that measures 24 inches across. Each assembly pairs a 2mm mirror-finished stainless steel weight with a 2mm galvanized iron backing plate and includes the hardware needed for straightforward installation. The design focuses on durability, reduced flap flutter at speed, and a clean, finished look that blends with trucks, trailers, and larger SUVs without complicated modification.

Will these weights work with my existing 24" mud flaps?

Yes—these are built as a universal retrofit for any mud flap that is 24 inches wide. The backing plate distributes load to prevent tearing, and the supplied fasteners match the plates for secure attachment.

• Fits mud flaps measuring 24 inches in width
• Includes backing plate to reinforce mounting points
• Comes with hardware for immediate installation
• Compatible with rubber, vinyl, and heavy-duty composite flaps

How do they reduce mud flap flutter and noise?

The stainless steel weights add mass along the bottom edge of the flap so wind uplift and oscillation are dampened. Heavier lower edges keep flaps straighter at highway speeds, minimizing noise and wear from constant movement.

• 2mm stainless steel provides consistent bottom-edge weight
• Backing plate prevents tear-through at fastener points
• Even weight distribution reduces vibration and noise

What materials and corrosion protections are used?

Each weight uses a 2mm mirror-finished stainless steel front for rust resistance and a 2mm galvanized iron backing plate for reinforced strength. The mixed-metal approach balances aesthetics and mechanical durability for long service life in wet, salty, or gravel-prone conditions.

• Front plate: 2mm stainless steel, mirror finish
• Backing plate: 2mm galvanized iron for reinforcement
• Hardware included to resist common roadside corrosion

How simple is installation and what tools are needed?

Installation is designed to be quick for DIYers and pros alike—use basic hand tools to position the backing plate, align the weight, and secure the fasteners. The package includes all necessary hardware, so no special parts are required.

• Includes necessary bolts, nuts, and washers
• Requires common tools: drill or punch, wrench or ratchet set
• Typical install time: 15–30 minutes per side depending on access

Who this is for: These LAFORMO mudflap weights suit truck and trailer owners, fleet managers, and DIY vehicle modifiers who need a tidy, long-lasting way to stabilize 24" mud flaps. They’re ideal if you want to reduce flap wear and noise, strengthen mounting points, and add a polished stainless look without custom fabrication.
