Lichamp A2L 1/4" refrigerant charging hose is a 5 ft, left-hand-thread service line built specifically for A2L refrigerants like R32 and R454B, offering tool-free connections and a high-strength, leak-resistant design.
Designed for HVAC technicians, refrigeration professionals, and advanced DIYers working with mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerants, this hose balances safety, flexibility, and durability. It combines a 1/4-inch SAE left-hand flared fitting for A2L compatibility with a standard right-hand thread on the opposite end, making it easy to integrate into existing charging setups. Constructed from high-grade rubber and brass with PTFE seals, the hose is rated for demanding pressure and temperature ranges to handle service and charging tasks in tight spaces.
The Lichamp A2L hose is tailored for A2L refrigerants by using a left-hand flared thread where required, preventing cross-connection errors. A 45-degree angled end and a deeply knurled coupling nut enable quick hand-tight connections without tools, reducing setup time on the job.
This hose is built to withstand heavy use with a 4000 PSI burst rating and 800 PSI working pressure, delivering robust performance under pressure. Materials were selected for longevity: a reinforced rubber body, brass fittings, and PTFE seals minimize wear and reduce leak risk over repeated cycles.
The Lichamp hose operates across a broad temperature window from -20°F to 180°F, making it suitable for both cold storage rooms and warm outdoor jobs. Its construction remains reliable in automotive engine compartments, commercial refrigeration units, and field HVAC equipment.
The hose is explicitly configured for A2L refrigerants to reduce the risk of mismatching fittings. Leak-resistant PTFE seals, reliable brass connectors, and a clear left-hand/right-hand thread convention help ensure correct, secure connections during charging and maintenance.
Who this is for: HVAC technicians, refrigeration service professionals, and experienced DIYers who work with R32, R454B, or other A2L refrigerants and need a dependable, easy-to-use charging hose. It’s particularly useful for jobs that require maneuvering into tight engine bays or equipment racks where a short, flexible, leak-resistant hose with proper A2L threading is essential.
Q: Is this hose compatible with non-A2L refrigerants?
A: The hose is designed for A2L refrigerants with a left-hand 1/4" flare; check equipment and adapter compatibility before using non-A2L refrigerants.
Q: What is the maximum safe working pressure?
A: The hose has an 800 PSI working pressure and a 4000 PSI burst pressure for heavy-duty service use.
