Lumitronics RV LED Round Surface Mount Scare Light — White, 122 Lumens, 12V Low-Draw Exterior Fixture

The Lumitronics RV LED Round Surface Mount Scare Light is a 12V, weather-resistant exterior light that delivers 122 lumens of even LED illumination for RV entries, awnings, and work areas while drawing only 3.2 watts.

Designed specifically for recreational vehicles, travel trailers, and similar outdoor mobile setups, this surface-mount fixture combines a wide coverage lens with a durable powder-coated steel base and a molded clear lens to resist corrosion and the elements. Its low current draw and long-life LEDs help preserve battery power, while the included gasket, screws, and short lead wires make installation quick using basic hand tools.

How bright is this light and what area will it cover?

The unit produces 122 lumens from an efficient LED array, giving a wide, even wash of light rather than a narrow beam. Because it is a broad, surface-mounted design, it’s ideal for illuminating entries, short awning zones, or a compact workspace beside an RV.

• 122 lumens output with balanced diffusion
• 8.75-inch diameter lens for broad coverage
• 2-inch depth keeps a low profile on exterior walls
• Creates uniform light—fewer hot spots than conventional porch bulbs

Will it hold up outdoors and on the road?

Yes — the fixture uses a powder-coated steel base and a molded clear lens to resist corrosion, and the package includes a mounting gasket to seal against moisture. It’s built to withstand typical outdoor exposure encountered on RVs and similar vehicles.

• Powder-coated steel base for rust resistance
• Molded clear lens that resists weathering and impact
• Included gasket for a sealed installation against drafts and moisture
• Appropriate for trailers, motorhomes, and camper exteriors

How easy is installation and what wiring is needed?

Installation is straightforward and intended for a standard 12V RV electrical system. The light ships with a 6-inch lead and ground wires plus mounting screws and a gasket, so you can mount it using common hand tools and connect directly to your existing 12V circuit.

• Designed for 12V DC RV wiring systems
• Includes 6-inch lead and ground wires for quick hook-up
• Mounting screws and gasket included to simplify fitting
• Surface-mount design avoids recessed cutting or complex framing

How energy efficient and long-lasting are the LEDs?

The LEDs are low-draw and engineered for extended service life, minimizing battery drain during evenings and overnight use. Drawing just 3.2 watts at 12 volts, the fixture gives reliable illumination without significant energy cost.

• Only 3.2 watts power consumption at 12V
• Low amperage draw protects RV battery life
• LED technology reduces maintenance and bulb replacements
• Stable output for consistent light over thousands of hours

Who is this for: If you own an RV, camper, travel trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome and need a dependable, wide-coverage exterior light that conserves battery life and resists outdoor wear, the Lumitronics RV LED Round Surface Mount Scare Light is a practical choice. It’s particularly suited for owners who prefer a simple surface-mount install, want even porch or work-area illumination, and value long-lasting LEDs with low power draw.
