This compact, purpose-built sender from Manchester Tank offers a simple way to monitor liquid petroleum (LP) levels using an OHM (resistance) output. Engineered to integrate with compatible gauges and control systems, the G12846 is a factory-model component intended for propane and similar pressure-vessel applications. It’s produced to match Manchester’s standards for fit and function and is made in China.
The sender uses a resistance-based float mechanism to translate liquid level into an OHM value that compatible gauges read. As the float moves with changing propane levels, the internal wiper changes circuit resistance proportionally, giving a continuous electrical signal for level indication.
Installation is intended to be straightforward thanks to the snap-on assembly, but proper matching of sender orientation and gauge type is essential. Verify that your tank’s access port and existing wiring correspond to a 90° OHM sender before replacing or upgrading a unit.
The G12846 is built to deliver reliable level feedback in a compact form factor, with a snap-on design for rapid replacement. While manufactured in China, it adheres to Manchester Tank’s component specifications for use with their LP pressure vessels.
Who is this for? The Manchester Tank G12846 90° OHM sender is aimed at technicians, fleet managers, and RV or industrial equipment owners who need a reliable replacement or upgrade part for resistance-based level monitoring in LPG systems. It suits anyone maintaining Manchester-brand tanks or retrofitting systems that require a compact, angled sender with a simple snap-on installation, provided the gauge electronics accept OHM outputs and installation follows all propane safety procedures.
Q: Is the G12846 compatible with all propane gauges?
A: It works with gauges that accept OHM (resistance) inputs; verify the gauge’s resistance range and connector type before installing.
Q: Can I install the sender myself?
A: A competent technician can install it using proper sealing and wiring; follow Manchester’s installation guidance and LP safety practices.
