Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax Car Shampoo — 1 Gallon Concentrate, pH-Balanced Gloss

If you want an easy, reliable way to wash your vehicle and maintain a just-waxed look between full detailing sessions, this one-gallon jug delivers a concentrated formula that lifts dirt, produces rich suds, and deposits carnauba and synthetic polymers for added protection. Designed for clear coats and compatible with other Meguiar's products, the formula helps you safely remove road grime without stripping existing waxes, making it a practical staple for home enthusiasts and pros who need consistent results.

How does this wash-and-wax blend clean without harming my paint?

The formula is pH-balanced and engineered to gently loosen contaminants while preserving factory and aftermarket finishes. It relies on foam and lubricity to reduce friction during washing, which minimizes swirl marks and safely lifts dirt from the surface.

• pH-neutral formulation to protect clear coats and sealants
• High-sudsing action that encapsulates dirt for easier rinsing
• Lubricity that reduces contact abrasion during mitt washing

Will it actually leave a waxed appearance after washing?

Yes — the product incorporates premium carnauba wax combined with synthetic polymers so each rinse deposits a thin protective layer that boosts gloss. While it won’t replace a dedicated paste or spray wax for long-term protection, it creates an immediate visual enhancement and short-term water repellency.

• Carnauba for warm, deep shine
• Synthetic polymers for added durability and beading
• Ideal between full waxing sessions for maintained gloss

How should I use the one-gallon size for best results?

The 1-gallon container is concentrated and perfect for multiple washes; dilute according to instructions to balance suds and protection. Use the two-bucket method with a clean wash mitt, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a microfiber towel to avoid water spots and swirls.

• Recommended dilution rates printed on the bottle for light to heavy cleaning
• Use two buckets — wash and rinse — to limit reintroducing grime
• Dry with a microfiber or chamois to preserve the deposited wax layer

Can this product be combined with other Meguiar's items in a routine?

Absolutely — the product was formulated to be compatible with Meguiar's sealants, sprays, and other washes, so it integrates smoothly with your existing kit. It won’t strip previously applied waxes when used as directed, making it a flexible option for multi-step care plans.

• Safe to follow up with quick detailers or spray sealants
• Works alongside dedicated clay, polish, and wax steps without interference
• Great for maintaining results between more intensive treatments
