Nilight RV generator adapter cord 30A L5-30P to TT-30R, 14.3-inch, 10 AWG weather-resistant

The Nilight 30 Amp to 30 Amp RV generator adapter cord converts a generator's 30A L5-30 twist-lock outlet to a 30A TT-30 RV inlet, delivering up to 125V/3750W of protected, weather-resistant power.

This compact adapter cord bridges two common 30-amp connections so you can safely run an RV's appliances from a portable generator or campground receptacle. Built with full 10 AWG stranded copper conductors, a twist-lock male plug, and a weatherproof thermoplastic jacket, the cord is designed to offer reliable conductivity and outdoor durability for temporary power hookups.

How does this adapter make connecting an RV to a generator easier?

The adapter turns a generator's L5-30P twist-lock outlet into a TT-30R RV-style inlet, eliminating the need for complicated rewiring or bulky converters. Its short 14.3-inch length keeps the connection compact and manageable while the pressure-proof twist locking male end helps maintain a secure electrical contact during use.

• Direct L5-30P male to TT-30R female wiring for plug-and-play use
• 14.3 inch overall length for neat, low-profile connections
• Twist-lock male plug reduces accidental disconnection

Is the Nilight adapter safe and suitable for outdoor use?

Yes — the cord has been evaluated at an ETL laboratory and meets applicable NRTL safety standards. The heavy-duty STW jacket and flame-retardant PVC outer sheath protect the conductors from moisture, abrasion, and temperature exposure during temporary outdoor hookups.

• ETL-listed testing for applicable safety standards
• Weather-resistant thermoplastic jacket shields against rain and abrasion
• Heat-resilient, flame-retardant PVC outer layer for additional protection

What electrical specs and construction details should I know?

The adapter is rated 30 amps at 125 volts (3750 watts) and is built using three 10 AWG stranded pure copper conductors for reliable current flow. The male connector uses a pressure-proof twist-lock design to ensure a snug fit, while the stranded copper conductors provide flexibility for handling and storage.

• Electrical rating: 30A, 125V, 3750W
• Conductor construction: 3 × 10 AWG stranded pure copper wires
• Male: NEMA L5-30P twist-lock; Female: NEMA TT-30R RV inlet

How should I use and care for this adapter to maximize life and performance?

Use the adapter for temporary hookups only — it’s designed for connecting generators or campground 30A receptacles to RV inlets, not for permanent hardwiring. After each use, keep connectors clean and dry, store coiled in a cool, dry place, and inspect the jacket and plugs for wear before reconnecting.

• Intended for portable, temporary generator-to-RV hookups
• Disconnect and dry connectors before long storage
• Inspect for cuts, exposed conductors, or damaged plugs before each use
