P PBAUTOS 110 lb Digital Refrigerant Charging Scale — 9" Portable HVAC Scale, ±0.05% Accuracy

Designed for HVAC technicians and serious DIYers, this lightweight yet robust refrigerant scale combines a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame with a rubber-coated platform and a backlit LCD for clear readings in dim workspaces. It supports multiple measurement units, provides precise readings within ±0.05% accuracy, and includes power-saving features like auto-shutoff and auto-zero to streamline repeated weighing during service jobs.

How precise and reliable is this refrigerant charging scale?

The P PBAUTOS scale delivers high-resolution results suitable for demanding charging tasks, with accuracy rated at ≤±0.05%. Its solid aluminum construction and slip-resistant rubber platform help ensure repeatable results even in workshop environments.

• Capacity: up to 110 lbs (50 kg)
• Accuracy: readout within ±0.05%
• Unit options: kg, lb, oz for flexible measurement
• Auto-zero to set tare after tank placement for net refrigerant weight

How easy is it to carry, set up, and read on the job?

The scale is engineered for portability with a heavy-duty carry case and a compact 9" x 9" weighing platform that fits most refrigerant tanks. A large backlit LCD keeps numbers legible in low light, while the unit runs on a single 9V battery for simple field service.

• Comes with a rigid carrying case for transport
• Backlit large LCD for night or low-light visibility
• Operates on a common 9V battery (battery not included)
• Quick unit switching for imperial or metric preferences

What durability and safety features does it include?

Built to withstand workshop conditions, the platform features a rubber coating that is water-resistant and impact-absorbing, reducing slip and protecting the scale from dings. The scale also conserves battery life with an automatic backlight shutoff and full unit auto-shutdown after inactivity.

• Rubber-coated platform for anti-slip and shock resistance
• Waterproof coating helps protect electronics from splashes
• Auto backlight off after 3 minutes, full auto-shutdown after 10 minutes
• Heavy-duty materials and included hard case for transport durability

How does the auto-zero feature help during refrigerant charging?

Auto-zero simplifies accurate net refrigerant measurement by taring the scale once the tank sits on the platform, so technicians can track only the weight removed or added. This reduces calculation errors and speeds up repetitive charging cycles.

• Auto-zero button sets the tank weight as the baseline
• Enables direct reading of dispensed refrigerant without manual math
• Works consistently across different tank sizes placed on the 9" x 9" platform

Who this is for: HVAC professionals, refrigeration service technicians, and advanced DIY homeowners who require dependable, portable weighing for refrigerant charging and recovery will appreciate this scale. It balances field-ready toughness with laboratory-grade accuracy, making it a solid choice for frequent on-site service work and precise refrigerant handling.
