Piaa 22" Super Silicone Wiper Blade - 550mm, Water‑Repellent Silicone Coating, Quiet Durable Performance

The Piaa 95055 Super Silicone Wiper Blade is a 22" (550mm) vehicle-specific wiper that coats your windshield with a water-repellent silicone layer while delivering quieter, longer-lasting wiping performance.

This single-pack wiper blade uses a durable silicone rubber compound and an activated silicone coating to resist UV and weather damage while making rain bead and run off the glass. The blade’s balanced, aerodynamic frame keeps consistent contact across the windshield at highway speeds; zinc-plated, powder-coated metal parts resist corrosion so the assembly stays dependable over time. Designed for a wide range of passenger vehicles, this 22-inch Piaa blade swaps in where a vehicle-specific connector is required and aims to reduce streaking, noise and the need for separate rain-repellent treatments.

How does the silicone rubber improve wiping life and clarity?

The specialized silicone compound resists degradation from sunlight, ozone and temperature swings that typically crack or harden conventional rubber blades. Because silicone remains flexible longer, it maintains even pressure against the glass for extended service life and fewer streaks.

• Patented silicone resists UV and heat-related wear.
• Flexible rubber keeps contact over varying windshield contours.
• Claims of up to twice the lifespan compared with many premium rubber blades.

What does the activated silicone coating do when I use the blade?

Each wipe deposits a micro-film of silicone onto the glass that repels water, causing droplets to bead and roll off between passes. That means improved visibility during light rain and less reliance on glass treatments or sprays.

• Instant water-beading action after wiping.
• Reduces need to reapply separate rain-repellent products.
• Helps maintain clearer sightlines even when wipers are idle.

Why is the frame design important for performance at speed?

Piaa’s aerodynamic frame design minimizes lift and wind flutter at highway speeds, keeping the silicone blade edge uniformly pressed to the glass. Balanced pressure points across the frame promote quiet, streak-free operation and more even wear of the blade edge.

• Zinc-plated then powder-coated frame to resist corrosion.
• Engineered equal-pressure points for steady contact under load.
• Aerodynamic profile reduces noise and flutter at high speeds.

What should I expect when installing and using the 22" Piaa wiper?

Installation is vehicle-specific—confirm your car’s connector type and fitment for a straightforward swap-in. After installation, you’ll notice immediate water beading from the activated silicone; routine wiping remains quiet and streak-free while the blade provides longer service life than many conventional rubber blades.

• Pack contains one 22" (550mm) blade compatible with vehicle-specific mounts.
• Quiet operation with reduced streaking under normal conditions.
• Durability designed to lower replacement frequency and maintenance of the windshield surface.

Who is this for: Drivers who want a low-maintenance upgrade from standard rubber wipers—especially those in sunny, wet or variable climates—will appreciate Piaa’s Super Silicone blade. It’s a good choice for vehicle owners seeking longer blade life, consistent windshield contact at highway speeds, and built-in water-repellent action without separate glass treatments. Always verify size (22"/550mm) and vehicle-specific fit before purchase to ensure proper attachment and performance.
